This beautiful cafe is an absolute gem. Owner Mike served us the best ever Gumbo that one can have in Pittsburgh or in NOLA.... The cornbread was light, moist and delicious (I am typically not a fan but this cornbread is a must). Will be back to tasty theother menu items. Read more

Everything was a hit - especially the gumbo! Plain and simple, Cafe on the Corner, is thebest and I highly recommend them. Absolutely loved this place! I read the ratings about the gumbo so had to try it. The ratings did not disappoint. The gumbo was... on point. Seasons were perfect. The amount of large shrimp cooked perfectly was a huge surprise! The owners made me feel sowelcomed as soon as I walked through the door. The deserts looked so good but I didn't have any.???? Hope to get up that wayagain soon so I can try other things prepared by these great people. Read more
Finding this place was an accident, but the food and hospitality was well worth it. You gotta try their gumbo? it was so good!... They give you 16 oz and they absolutely load it with chicken, shrimp, rice and vegetables. And the cornbread was good too! Ileft full and satisfied. The owner was so nice.
