We had reservations at another restaurant for a birthday dinner, but when we arrived there was a note that they were closed... unexpectedly. After our shock, we made our way to DeBlasio's where we were warmly welcomed & made to feel at home! Our party offour thoroughly enjoyed the food - the fried zucchini app & homemade cheese ravioli with meatball were exceptional. Our serverwas the best - friendly & efficient. My wife and I (an interracial couple) were treated with enormous disrespect today by more than one person involved with this... place. We will never eat here again and hope that anyone with any modicum of tolerance will avoid giving business to people thatare this openly racist. Read more
It was our first time here at De Blasio's and was a great recommendation from our hotel host. We went for a late dinner and... there was still a lineup. Quite a bit of choice but had some appetizers and main course, that was all we can handle. I'd reallyenjoyed the fried polenta cheese sticks with the marinara sauce it was delicious. We ordered chicken parmigiana, linguine dondiablo, shrimp scampi and eggplant parmigiana. Wedding soup and salads were very fresh and tasty. The tomato sauce was notacidity, tasted so so good. Plus we had to take-away, normally I'd would not have it another day but this was good and would bea waste. Will definitely come back when we are in the area. Highly recommended. Food is really good. You can order 1/2 & 1/2 of the homemade ravioli, which I highly recommend. The wedding soup and lightly... breaded butterfly shrimp is good as well. Most of their wines is from Italy and is expensive $30 or more for a bottle $9-11glass. This restaurant is old school, there is no making reservations online or making a call, it is a first come first servewhere they take no names for your place in line. It is a honorary system. Just ate there tonight and let me tell you! WE WILL BE BACK!! Absolutely delicious and their sauce was like my grandmother... used to make and she was from Italy. I had the Pasta Don Diabalo and my wife had the Homemade Manicotti ? Both these disheswere top notch winners! The Pasta I had was wonderfully spicy and the pepper flavor with the sauce was too good for words. My wife so enjoyed the delicious and soft like a cloud manicotti stuffed shells. Then we shared a pecan ball with caramel andwhipped cream. I had to write a review it was all so very wonderful. Service was excellent as well. Update 1/25/20 - Atethere again and food was SOOOOO delicious and the service we received from Michelle J was outstanding! We will be back! Seepics - I had the Linguine Don Diablo and my wife had the Chicken Parmesan - Just over the top delicious. Update 11/13/21 - Justate there again and still loving it so very much.
