Great food and dessert! I enjoyed their cuisine but there was a lack of good service in the hookah lounge (staff was sitting... with customers/on his phone) and weaker hookah. The coals didn?t get adjusted for the entire time that we were there, and wecould not get the staff?s attention when the hookah pipes weren?t retaining the smoke well. Other than that, a good experience. Read more

Started with hummus and babbaganoosh, they were both floating in oil. Pita was hard and cold. We brought our own bottle of... wine, and the second we opened it, our table was swarmed by fruit flies. Our server left after we ordered, and no one else knewwhat we had ordered. We asked for everything to go, as we couldn?t handle the bugs. We just moved in 2 blocks away and wereexcited to try this place, but definitely won?t be back. And you should probably stay away, too. Read more

I ordered a chicken shawarma with feta, onion, parsley, tomato and some grape leaves. I received the wrap and there was nothing... but chicken on it. Worse yet, I bit into the sandwich and immediately gagged? it tasted like the chicken had SPOILED. It wasnauseating. I?ve ordered from this restaurant in the past and lately the service has decreased in quality, but this last timewas a very horrible experience. I ordered from Uber Eats (another mistake) and probably won?t see a refund. I will not make thatmistake again. And I hope I?m not sick tomorrow from biting into that horrible sandwich. Read more

I visited this place for the first time. It was located in a lovely area in butler st. We ordered Falafel in the appetizer and a... Lamb shank platter with Iraqi Kabob (for 3) in the main. It serves with salad. The Lamb shank platter was good in taste, withexcellent flavor. Falafel feels like an overcook. I didn't try the hookah but will give it a try next time. Read more

Been here a handful of times. Food is generous in sizing and tasteful for the low price point. Service was attentive too. If I... could give a con it's the limited parking in the area. There is a parking lot next door, it's small and often full. In sayingthat we've been lucky to always get a spot as it's constantly moving! Read more

Open late. Great menu. Casual vibes. Service was amazing. And the food was delicious. The best falafel I?ve had in years. Crispy... on the outside and steamy and tender on the inside. I?m definitely going back. Best meal at midnight in Pittsburgh. Hands down.No contest. Hang up the phone and go there. It?s worth it. Read more

Didn't get to experience the hookah, but the food was quite good. I tried the chicken tikka kebab skewer (3), an Iraqi kebab, 2... spinach and feta pies, ossmalleya, and baklava. When I first entered the restaurant, I noticed that it was decorated nicely butthere was no on there. I got my takeout order in a fair amount of time, though. The first item I tried was the chicken and Iraqikebabs. The chicken was a bit overcooked and a little too charred for my taste. However, it was still flavorful and prettytasty. The Iraqi kebab (chicken) reminded me of sausage for some reason. It had almost a processed meat texture to it, so Iwasn't the biggest fan. Try the non-chicken Iraqi kebab instead. I was very pleasantly surprised by the pies. They were huge, and each single pie came cut into two smaller pies. The feta was clearly high quality and the breading was done well, too. Theystuffed it full of spinach, but it wasn't overpowering the cheese. Just a hint of onion as well. The desserts were fairly good, and a great bang for your buck. I'm pretty sure both the ossmalleya and the baklava is not made in house since I saw him takingout a dessert box when preparing my order. Still, I enjoyed the baklava. Maybe just a bit more syrup but otherwise great.Ossmalleya is quite unique: nice pistachio inside, some syrup (not enough though), crispy topping, and a hint oflemon. Overall, there aren't many Iraqi places in western Pennsylvania, so this place is worth a try. The prices are veryreasonable and you get a fair portion of food (huge portion for the pies). Read more
