evidently loved by foodies who don't worry about prices as a peasant with more pedestrian food tastes and budget, the only draw... for me os the location: easy walking distance for me and my friends 4-6 times a year we meet for half-price (by glass or bottle)wine day, which brings the highly over-priced wine down closer to a more reasonable price level, but pour by the glass is small,carefully measured many people rave about the food, but i've never had a meal there i've actually enjoyed or thought was worththe price, but several friends actually like the food portions are not excessive. example---roasted brussel sprout kale saladrevealed, under the kale, what seemed to be 1 large or 2 brussel sprouts cut into pieces the hamburger tastes exactly like their(very popular) meatloaf---a good meatloaf sandwich unless you were anticipating a burger---and the fries are handcut but don'ttaste as good as the ones at 5 Guys Burgers and Fries in oakland. i order the bisonburger because it is the onlyhamburger-tasting sandwich available---it comes with a modest side of fries, but to me not worth the "bison" price the varioussandwich rolls are made on site but are far too hard and crunchy for me---i request rye or marble bread instead (breadworksbrand i think) many condiments (made on site) are Very Spicy even when not described as such on the menu---but i request alldressings, condiments on the side to avoid an overly spicy item Read more

Great food & service. Had the Ruben sandwich with sweet potato fries. Took half home because of large portion.

On Wednesday wines are half price until 6 or 7pm. Food is very good with large portions, nice family place saw quite a few... families with small children when there Wednesday night with group of 3 others. Thought meals were reasonably priced and servicewas very, very good. On vacation and will go again before I leave after Thanksgiving. Read more
