Came here for my birthday and the whole dinner was amazing. Our valet was super fast (literally running to get our car!!??), the... ladies in the front all wished me happy birthday and were extremely nice, our servers were very kind, really knew the menu andgave great recommendations! Pictured is the Big Ben with garlic and mushrooms - cooked to medium rare perfection andridiculously good - and fries on the side. We ordered a shrimp cocktail for the table and those shrimp are huge. My friend gotthe surf and turf, I tried a bite of the huge lobster tail and YUM. Her husband ordered the Malkin (I tried a bite and it wasdelicious) and also a slice of cheesecake. Everything was so delicious. They gave me a happy birthday card and also gave me apiece of chocolate torte! With a candle! Currently in a food coma as i’m writing this. Read more

In the Pittsburgh area on a recent business trip and thought I would treat some colleagues to an upscale dinner experience. I... have been to several Hyde Park locations and like most high end prime steak houses this location caters to the local market andhas the menu, methods, and presentations down pat. Love the bacon appetizer, shrimp cocktail, and the Hyde Park Manhattan is oneof my favorites. The steak selection is superb, side dishes are fresh, tasty, and plentiful. However nothing distracts from anexcellent dining experience at a primeir steak house more that a wait staff that does not display common curtousy and repeatedlybarges into the middle of dinner conversations. Our server was excellent!!! Peter was attentive, fun to talk to, and made GREAT recommendations! Definitely ask for him, he... will treat you wonderfully. I was extremely pleased with my experience at Hyde Park steakhouse. We stopped to get a quick bite and a cup of coffee without a... reservation. We were going to just sit at the bar but there happen to be a table open outside and we were properly seated. Weboth got coffee and french fries and they were excellent. I highly recommend them. This is the classic high-end steakhouse. The service was impeccable. These steaks were all cooked to perfection. I'd recommend... the brussel sprouts and the au gratin potatoes. Make sure to save room for the red velvet cake. I think it took two people tobring it to the table! Seriously don't order the red velvet cake unless there's four people at the table or you're planning ontaking a massive amount of cake home.
