We were really disappointed. At first they were out of beer. We ordered appetizers, 2 of which were mussels. The waiter came... back and said they are out of it. Understandable. My son ordered octopus. They were our 8f it. He ordered fried calamari andgot... fried vegetables. He had about 3 calamari pieces. They did not include it in the bill after we cimplaint. We were donewith our main dish and waited for dessert menu and coffee. Instead we received a bill. Nobody even asked us about it!! Read more

I had this like pasta sampler thing. All of them were really good. The place is a little fancier than what I normally go to but... it was fine. They had a cool glass sculpture hanging from the ceiling. I would go back again. Read more

Worst experience of my Easter weekend visit to Pittsburgh. Went there with my 52 year old son, 46 yr old daughter-in-law & two... 20 something granddaughters. The bill was astronomical, including a $45 charge for a grilled cheese & tomato soup order for oneof the girls. The waiter made things unpleasant immediately when he asked for proof of age before serving a glass of wine to mydaughter-in-law. She couldn't find her ID, left in another purse. He called the manager over who said he "would think about"serving her, although her stepdaughter was served a beer with no problem. By that time, none of us were in the mood to enjoy ameal. I don't even remember if I liked the food or not & don't plan to return. Oh, I forgot the charge for parking! Don't gothere if you want a pleasant experience. Read more

Lidia's never disappoints. My family has been visiting there a few times a year since they opened. The delicious food and and... wine, the service and the atmosphere are always top-notch. We enjoy being able to hear each other--there is always a pleasantbuzz of people enjoying each other's company, but no super-loud blaring music, and there's a good amount of space among thetables. We always have a great experience. It's a family favorite! Read more

Lydia’s is wonderful, and I greatly enjoyed brunch there one weekend. That said, the quality of the cuisine is a little hit or... miss. When Lydia is there, it is quite good. At other times, it can be mediocre. Staff is friendly and competent and theambiance nice. Hopefully Lydia will achieve greater consistency over time. Read more
