I've been here a couple times and both times I've had a similar experience. The service is good and polite, however the all the... seafood we ordered was overcooked. The scallops were a little bit bland. It's a good meal portion, but the asking price is alittle bit too much for the execution provided. Read more

We had a great lunch here. We ordered the house salad and the shrimp for appetizers and the Cedar plank salmon and the salmon... with couscous for main dish. BOTH were super delicious. This was our first time and wont be the last for sure. The carrot cakeis definitely to share. Ask for Christiana to be your server, we loved her enthusiasm, her friendliness and her interaction withus. Perfect for a family, business or a group of friends. Highly recommended. Read more

Went here for my wife's birthday. We used to live in the North Hills, and "Off the Hook" was the place to go. Compared to that,... I actually believe Mitchell's Fish Market is better. We had the shrimp appetizer, and I had the blackened sea bass. My wife hadthe stuffed cod. Both of us loved the food (and my wife isn't even a big fan of fish!) Our server was extremely friendly andprofessional. I wish I could remember his name (tall bearded guy) but he deserves credit. The only reason this is a 4 starrating & not a 5? The hostess who sat us was extremely rude and unfriendly. From the time we asked to be seated, she lookedabsolutely miserable and gave the impression that we were bothering her. Maybe she was having a bad day... everyone has those. But that was just the only negative part. Also, I forgot to take a picture of the entree because I was so excited to eat it!That should let you know how good it looked Read more

Anybody in Pittsburgh, it’s a must go!!! If I was on Death Row - this would be my final meal. I discovered this restaurant... some years ago. Not this location. The Ahi Tuna Poké Bowl and the Ahi Tuna Rice Bowl are just items every fish/ sushi loverneeds at least a billion times in their life. It's the only things I order. I dream of it actually. Today's visit was a totalunplanned shock walking through the little mall. How could I turn down a lunch at my favorite restaurant. The raw tuna melts inyour mouth. The crunch of the veggies, not only tastes so good but sounds so amazing. No fish smell. It’s a 100 out of 5stars. The staff is so sweet and attentive to your needs. This is going to sound silly but the water, so clean and.....pure(??) tasting. There is no funny taste to it. This is my favorite restaurant, hands down no questions asked. I'd eat this AhiTuna Rice Bowl DAILY if I could. Paul ordered the Chicken Cesar Salad and said it was very good. He would definitely get itagain. I have to laugh because it's normally me that struggles to find fish to eat on a menu. (Very picky eater) Not thistime!! Paul, the steak and potatoes man, had the limited options. But duh, It's clearly a fish lovers dream restaurant. Hahaha! He was happy with his chicken parm though! Give me more Ahi Tuna Rice Bowls!!! I can't wait to go back. // I havesince been back a couple times and it's just as amazing as ever. Ahi Tuna Rice Bowl is perfection. #mitchells#mitchellsfishmarket #fish #poké #ricebowl #ahituna #ahitunapoke #ahitunaricebowl #freshfish #pittsburgh #myfavorite#restaurant #gohere #placestoeat #placestoeatinpittsburgh #pittsburghpa #fishlover #dream #deliciousfood #colorful #yummy#instagood #instafood #raw #rawfish #lunch #date #letseat #explore #recommendation Read more

It's just not very good. The Chilean sea bass was overcooked and the sides tasted like they came from a microwavable... dinner. The Sharkfin pie might be worth a takeout order. That's about it, unfortunately. Read more

The meal was decent. The king crab was amazing and so were the oysters, salmon, shrimp, and hush puppies. The calamari was very... bland and the crab cake had a very overpowered spice/seasoning on it that made it so you couldn't taste any of the good flavorsof it. Read more

Ordered through Grubhub, got the shrimp pasta and fish and chips. Food was overpriced for the portion size which is why it lost... a star but I will say everything tasted very good! The hush puppies I got with my fish and chips were to die for, and I don’tnormally eat those… ???? but here they make them small and a little Spicy, so yummy. Would be good for a date night meal butdefiantly not ordering it as take out again even though it was tasty, to expensive and there’s cheaper places closer to mewith great huge cod for $10 instead of almost $25. Phenomenal food, great atmosphere and our server Christian was also fantastic. Even the house salad was stellar, the pine nuts... and dates make it very unique. Their sea bass made the fish at "Off the hook" in Warrendale look like McDonalds. Will definitelybe returning!!! Read more
