Extremely disappointed with how Morton’s has gone downhill. Last year I went there for my birthday dinner and they took our... photo, had a candle on our dessert, and the service and food was excellent. Now, I made a reservation for my fiancé’sbirthday and we had a completely different experience. First our waitress was extremely unfriendly and inattentive. We hadmajority of our meal with empty water glasses because she was not refilling them. She did not mention his birthday at all eventhough I put it in the reservation and she checked his ID, which has his birthday on it… When she talked to us it was as if wewere a bother to her, when we did not complain or be rude to her at all. Our food took longer to come out than the other time Ihave been here. Once the food did arrive, the entrees were pretty good but the sides were lacking flavor that was different fromthe last time we were here. The restaurant was also only at like 25% capacity because it was a Wednesday night. My fiancé didnot even want to stay for dessert on his birthday because we disliked the waitress so much. I came here for my dad's birthday after seeing the reviews. I made a reservation online and specified it was my dad's birthday.... I saw they were giving personalized menu and photos so I fully expected that from them for a great dining experience.Unfortunately, that didn't happen. I knew it was a bit off when the host asked us if we wanted a booth or a table. If theyprepared for a birthday dinner, they would not have asked us. When I hinted at the host after the dinner that we were here for abirthday dinner, she didn't apology or given any care for it. Food was good. But the server missed our shrimp that was orderedso we had to remind them about it, didn't really bother to refill the drinks, or asked to see if I wanted another drink. Not ahuge deal, but definitely not ideal. We also saw there was a red wine stain (picture). We couldn't see it at first because itwas cleverly covered with their table set-up at first. It also wasn't our fault since we didn't order wine. Overall, theexperience wasn't horrible, but definitely a forgettable one. People were nice, but the service was rather slow for a slownight. Bathroom was not clean. My dad had a great time, but I expected more than a regular dining experience especially for aspecial occasion, and when I'm spending $300+ for a dinner. Will not come back. Everything was absolutely spot-on! I came here with my seven year old son and we had an absolutely fantastic meal! Our appetizer... was the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella, I had the Cajun ribeye, my son had the 8 oz filet, and our side was the smoked Gouda andbacon potatoes au gratin. Everything was excellent, starting with the service. When they found out we were there for mybirthday, they took our picture and then brought us a printed copy of it in a birthday card. Then there was the food. Not onlywere the flavors exceptional, but the seasoning was one hundred percent on point and the cook on our steaks was perfectly asordered! We would definitely eat here again without hesitation. It is worth noting however, that despite being welcoming tokids, there was not a children's menu, in case that makes a difference to you. Morton's Steak House is a must visit when you are in Pittsburgh. The steaks melt in your mouth, the staff is attentive, and the... drinks are amazing! I highly recommend getting the creme brulee and espresso Martini to finish off your evening! Read more

For this to be a first time eating here the food was amazing and our server Owen's was amazing, very friendly and gave good... ideas for main courses to eat. Very elegant and classy and romantic definitely will go back whether with some girlfriends oryour significant other. Read more

I’m really not trying to be a hype beast, but the bread and the Cajun Ribeye Steak were the best I’ve ever had. Maybe I am a... yokel, but between bites, I had to take breaths like a swimmer as I could not fathom how a steak could taste so good.
