I've been looking for dim sum, like in NYC and Boston. Finally found it! Delicious and authentic dumplings at a good price. ... The cocktails are amazing. Try to overcome whatever ideas you may have about the ingredients and trust the mixologists, youwon't be disappointed. Read more

Unique takes with the stuffed fried taro dumplings and salted egg yolk custard buns were very good. Tries to bring an upscale... ($$$) vibe to dim sum but fails to deliver quality on classic dim sum dishes. Very disappointed with jade dumplings that werefull of air. Would love to give The Parlor another try when dim sum dish quality improves Read more

On a scale of documentaries to romance novels, The Parlor Dim Sum is a celebration of culture and cuisine (and in my ideal... reader world, a romance). The Parlor Dim Sum is located in Lawrenceville where parking is intense, but the whole block providesso many opportunities from making candles to other boutiques. I highly recommend ordering only small plates to share with yourparty. The experience is delightful as dish after dish arrives to your table, and you are overwhelmed in the best way withflavors and so many delights. I was so busy feasting that I didn't get any photos! But our party of four ordered 17 plates aswell as an entrée to share. When you go to the Parlor Dim Sum, please order some pork bao and egg tarts in honor of thisreview (and reviewer). Also, isn't the receipt holder just pure whimsy? Read more

Overall soso. Hot and sour soup was missing vinegar but they provided some when we asked. Lo Mai Gai was just a huge letdown,... not sure what that was supposed to be, it just wasn't glutenous at all and the rice was super dry. Dumplings are fine, the charsiu baos would've been nice but were way too salty. Coconut pudding was ok, the boba were really hard. Service was super nicethough. Read more

The ambiance of The Parlor perfectly reflects the upscale modernized take they offer to a city desperately requiring a purveyor... of Dim Sum. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, knowledgeable and quick to provide good service. The cocktails areinventive and well constructed. The taro dumplings, char siu and egg custard tarts were favorites of mine. Will definitelyreturn, thanks guys! Read more

Went to the parlor after seeing the hype on Instagram. Ordered a few of each category of dim sum and the crispy pork belly. The... pork buns and turnip cake were the only dishes we were impressed by. The crispy pork belly was 6 thin slices for $16, no rice.Disappointed by the desserts all around. Was so excited to try the salted egg buns but they were incredibly dry and flavorless. The design of the place was great but the atmosphere was not. Extremely loud in the dining room, but nice and quiet near thebar. Cocktails were overall great. Service was not great: host told us to wait at the bar for our drinks when the bartendercorrected her and said they?ll bring them to our table and we ordered tea which was forgotten about by the waiter. Dim sum soon became dim sum now after the parlor subtly let my Instagram know they were open for dinner. Couldn?t grab the keys... fast enough, and to be honest so should you. I wish I had a second stomach so that I could of tried more but we did our best tocelebrate its opening and Lindsay?s house closing: Ha Gow, chicken feet, turnip cake, crispy pork and a trio rice plate. Willneed to go back soon to try some other flavors off the chefs menu. Glad it?s close by, but my belt is telling me to be afraidlol Chapter 2 Getting outta work early today, I had enough time to pick up food on my way home. I thought about pizza, tacos ora hoagie, and then I remembered a wonderful thing. The Parlor was open for take out. Today I got the Flank Steak Ho Fun noodles, and they did not disappoint. The aroma poured out of the bag the whole way home. I was breaking the chop sticks apart as Irushed through the door, and into the kitchen. Read more

We went a few days after opening and we loved the place! Our server Chris checked on us frequently, kept our water glasses full,... and was knowledable about the menu. We loved the decor and atmosphere, and it was busy even on a Tuesday night- no table stayedempty for very long! The place is a little over our usual price range but it will remain a place we go for special occasions. Weloved the lobster, the XO scallops, and the dim sum. We tried the sesame balls, roasted pork buns, turnip cakes, coconutpudding, and siu mai. My only criticism is that it was uncomfortably hot in there with all those people and all the heat fromthe kitchen. By the time I finished my meal I was roasting! Nonetheless, a great meal:) Read more
