Did a Google search for catfish near me. This place popped up. And so did a few others but this was closer to me. At first I was... confused about where they were until I seen a fold up sign outside of what appeared to be a apartment building? I did a ordervia phone and picked it up. Nice gentleman on the phone. Went in a both him and his wife were so much fun to talk to. Thegentleman explained how they cooked the catfish. Got home and took one bite. Best catfish I have had and way better than I cancook! Called ahead to order. Had no idea of what the food would be like , but went on recommendation of a shuttle driver at the hotel... I was staying at. First walking in, I could smell the chicken from the outside. Walking in the door, it was a little dark andgloomy. I could not smell any chicken from the inside. No one came out to greet, but no problem I had my phone handy. Called thesame number I ordered from, and they said it would be ready shortly. 10 minutes later, food was done. Ordered 3 , three piecefried chicken dinners with a whole slab or ribs and 3 orders of cornbread. Kept wanting to peek at it on way back to hotel, butheld off. First glance at food, I said oh this is going to be good. And y?all did not disappoint. The chicken was fried andseasoned perfectly, the greens had that bite of vinegar. The ribs were melt in your mouth tender, with a perfect sauce. The mac& cheese wasn?t terrible but could have been better and the cornbread was good but just a little dry. Do Not Order Delivery! For a wing & rib meal that's $17.95 on their menu it was $23.95 through Seamless + tip, tax & delivery... fee. When I called to ask why the price difference they advised it was because they had to pay these services i.e. Doordash,UberEats, Grubhub etc so they mark up their prices on those menu's. So the customer will also pay tax, tip and delivery on topof their $6 mark up! Why should the customers pay for their charge of doing business with these services as well as their owndelivery fees, tip and tax?? Complete rip off! Read more
Had the pleasure of finally getting to order from Wings and a Prayer, and since my wife and I couldn?t decide what we wanted, we... tried everything! We got the following: Fried chicken mix, fried wings with Buffalo sauce, ribs, Mac and cheese, fries, bakedbeans, yams, fried cabbage, potato salad, corn bread, pound cake, sweet potato pie. It was all so good, but I?ll just touch onmy favorites. The chicken was super crispy and juicy but not greasy whatsoever. The fries were massive and had fantasticseasoning. The beans were unreal, had a wonderful smoky, maple flavor to them. The yams were deliciously sweet as well. Thepound cake was very thick, some of the best I?ve ever had. Again, everything we had was fresh and delicious. To top it off,Melanie was very kind and happy to answer any questions we had about the menu. Will definitely be back again soon! Read more
More quarantine eats with some uplifting scripture ????????. The photos don?t do the food justice. I was eating before I took... the photos so the presentation is lacking. I got a golden wing sauce with the ribs and that sauce was delicious. I likedeverything I ordered (through delivery of course): mac&cheese, ribs and fries, and that sauce which I dipped the fries in andstuck a rib in...tasty. Read more
Great tangy sauce on the wings. One of my favorite local places to get some grub from. I've had the ribs before and those are... phenomenal also. Very kind staff. Small indoor waiting area. They take walk-in orders but it's best to call in ahead of time. Read more
I have gone here twice and have had excellent food both times. I got the 4 bone rib meal with 2 sides, (green beans, and fries)... and it was amazing. The green beans are amazing the ribs are huge and practically fall off the bones, the fries are fresh cutand tasty. My dad got the 5 wing meal and they were full wings, with an awesome rub. Call ahead, it takes them about 20 minutesto get your order ready and they don't have any seating. Read more
