Cozy atmosphere, manager was very nice, but I think he forgot to place our order because we waited for our sandwiches and salad... 45 minutes, and other people seated after us got their food before we did. The food was very good, fresh, and a descent sizeportion for the prices! We will definitely go back when in town! They also have a nicely varied wine and beer selection, sowe'd like to try that the next time as well! Overall kudos! Read more
Amazing service, great environment, delicious food!
Great experience. We went today with our daughter her fantastic husband and our two grandchildren. After a long day moving... their family to Diamond springs from Sacramento, we were famished. Wife daughter and I ordered tacos, Veggie ,Baja and piggiesrespectively. We shared em out one for one each. The veggie was subtle and savory wit a tasty sauce. The pixie was tangy with asoft pungent goat cheese. The shrimp was creamy with a sweet mango chutney and peppers. All served with a fresh slaw differentfor each plate. Absolutely great tacos. My son in law had the pork sandwich with pickles an krout. He loved it,said it remindedhim of an east coast Cuban sandwich. Toped off with fresh Belching Beaver IPA. and other fresh local brews. Great servicefriendly staff fun Placerville atmosphere. Fair prices. Full bar, pool table. Nice and cool inside on a hot August day. Had agreat lunch! Thanks Heyday Cafe. Had a lovely late dinner at The Heyday Cafe. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. All the food was delicious and... reasonably priced. We had the roasted garlic bulbs, Caesar salad, and the truffle chicken pizza which was fantastic with a richblend of gooey cheeses and tender chunks of free range chicken. Read more
Wow. What a great little Main St. Cafe. We had Lobster Bisque, pizza and a Hey Day salad. By the way. If you're into salads this... place has great eclectic choices. Furthermore the entrees are even more quixotic. Duck. Exotic fruits. Imported meats. Thisplace has a little something for everyone. And the staff is wonderful. Very attentive.
