Been here twice before, both beautiful nights. This weekend I was with a wedding party and our entire party got food poisoning.... Some of us had pasta, others pizza. Gorgeous venue, friendly staff, sub par food. Will be back, but will only be getting drinks???? Read more
I made reservations to have a birthday dinner here. To put this review simply, from the moment we walked in, our reservation was... not correct. Then the food was very poor quality and overcooked. Our waitress had to be flagged down multiple times because shedidn’t check on us. After one disappointment after another, we finally expressed our concerns to our waitress, to whichcustomer service was extremely lacking, to put it nicely. I sent a detailed message to the restaurant privately, because I hadread some bad reviews for this place and the response from Smith Flat House was to please reach out to them first. But I haveyet to get a response, so here I am, writing an honest review. All this to say, we won’t be back another time. And I recommendgoing elsewhere for a nice dinner. Read more
What a delightful experience. A beautiful spot in El Dorado County, just outside of downtown Placerville. Menu varied and had... something for everyone. So enjoyed this restaurant! From the guy who answered the phone and took reservation to him giving us a personalized tour of the... resaurant/mine areas. The setting was awesome. We ate down stairs... ordered Chicken parm, steaks and jambalaya. Dinner was hotand attractively served by friendly waitress. It was a bit of a wait for our dinner to arrive... we were patient. The owner, Mason, runs one of the best restaurants in Northern CA. The food is always incredible. The staff are so... friendly/attentive and it is a great place to eat, drink, attend events and get married. We love their wine selection and drinkselection. Chicken was over cooked. Ceaser dressing was really bland. Ranch had way too much dill Waitress had to make 5 trips to get... things right. The helper lady was really awesome. This place usually is good but for lunch it's very much a step down. Theflies here are really concerning. Read more
