Great friendly service. Ordered our food and ... bam... it was there. Tasted great! Steak and eggs and I ordered country skillet... with Mel's potatoes and biscuits and gravy. Totally worth it! Love the pictures of American Graffiti and 50s nostalgia! Read more
The server was super friendly and attentive! She checked on us and got the kids meals out quickly. The roasted turkey was... delicious with stuffing and cranberry. My husband got a delicious bacon cheeseburger and fries. The mixed green salad on theside with balsamic dressing was fresh and the side veggies were flavorful too. The prices are higher due to inflation but wellworth it for prompt service and ice cream sundaes for the kids. Great stop from Lake Tahoe to our home in Salinas. Read more

Service was horrible took the server 20 minutes to help us. That’s only because we wave at them. Sat us away from the crowd.... Which was odd. once they took our order it was faster than the wait . I would of gave them 5 stars if their service wasn’thorrible. Read more
Paid $16 dollars for food that honestly I could have gotten at a fast food place for like $6, and it would have been better. The... curley fries were burnt and tasteless. My chicken sandwich was really just a bad chicken finger on some bread and it was allmade worse by water being in my tray for some reason so everything was soggy? I went here about a year ago with a friend who turned me on to the Mel's Deluxe Bowl. We each had one & when they came, she said... 'No, NO, this isn't the Deluxe'. The cooks knew what she was talking about & fixed it & it was superb. Well I went a coupleweeks ago & the exact same thing happened, tho unfortunately these cooks had no idea what I was talking about. The dish was ok,but not what I had a year ago with my friend.
