It’s a dark, comfy place to enjoy a fantastic meal with good friends. Portions are generous, the meat and fish are cooked to... perfection, and the sauces are bold & flavorful. Chef’s specialties change often, so there’s always something new to try.The desserts are fun - don’t miss the hand-made truffles! Read more

This is a 3.75 star review because of the quality of meat for the price. The atmosphere can be date night to a friendly dinner.... Somewhere between casual and fine dining… If you want sweet tea, they offer agave as a sweetener. The bread, that comes out,was a great starter. The truffle fries were different tasting but worth trying if you love carbs. The salads are of generousportion and the blue cheese dressing is not as pungent as Ruth’s. It was a well balanced dressing. The horseradish crustedsteak tasted as it sounds. The steak was cooked perfectly yet hard to cut through. The steak was Ford tough. “I am Groot”dined on our plate. We did not have the heart to eat him. The filet was not tender enough for my taste. The vegetables werecrispy and cooked. The desserts were above average. The strawberry shortcake was a great ending to the dinner. Server wasattentive and hospitable. The presentation was spot on. I would come here again, just would not order the steaks. Read more

decided to give this another visit. I am NEVER disappointed in the food, ambience or service. the food is consistently... great! I hadn't been there in awhile and was wondering how they fared during the pandemic. Not only did they survive, theythrived. this is a testament to their wonderful food. I am so happy they are still around. it is one of my favorite places fordining and i always get a warm welcome from the owners. it is so nice to be able to enjoy a lovely dining experience. I had thetrout (special) and my friend had the steak frites. arguably one of the best steaks around. i recommend making reservations andhaving a little patience. they are short staffed like everyone else but definitely worth the wait. so sit back, have a glass ofwine and soak up the ambience. this is a neighborhood gem and a brilliant gem at that! A restaurant in which fresh ingredients and contact with the guests are of paramount importance. The owners, the couple; Chef... Kevin and Anja guarantee this. A gem on the North side of Albuquerque. Definitely worth driving a few miles for! Read more

A nice upscale dining experience without prices that make you think twice before ordering. We started with a house salad with a... light balsamic dressing. The soup du jour was a nice New England clam chowder. The main courses were horseradish crusted NewYork steak, seared Halibut and a pasta dish with shrimp, scallops and lobster. All the sauces were top shelf. We had a rose winethat was flavorful yet light so it didn't interfere with the delicate flavors of the sauces. For desert we had a bread pudding, cappuccinos finished with a desert wine. Service was excellent, covering all the bases without interrupting our experience. Willvisit again and this time get the pasta! Read more

My husband and I so wanted to like to place, as it's the closest restaurant to our house. We've now given it four chances and... the inconsistency in food quality has done us in. The first time we ate here was at the peak of COVID and they brought our foodto our car. Food was just ok, but since it was during COVID, we gave them a pass. The second time was when things were openingup a little and we were able to pick up our order inside the restaurant. My husband got the NY strip and it was literallyinedible. It was mostly gristle and fat and very overcooked. He ordered rare. We thought again, COVID and some foods don'ttravel well. The third time was when they allowed seating inside and the food was a little better. We thought as they get backin the swing of things, it will get better. Fourth time, we dined outside in their cute patio. The food was disappointing. I'veincluded pics of our fourth meal below. The only dish that was good was their wedge salad. My husband ordered the ribs and theywere dry and tough. He didn't even finish his meal and ate the French fries, which were good. He got a $20 plate of fries iswhat it amounted to. I've ordered the Frutti de mar three times and it's been different each time. Sometimes the sauce is thickand more flavorful, other times it's watery and flavorless. There is no consistency. For almost $27, I expect better. I don'tthink we'll be returning anytime soon. We may give it another try sometime, but not in the near future. I think four visits wasenough to get a good sense of their food. I'll stick to cooking at home or going to Albuquerque if we want to dine out. Read more
