Disappointed!! I had high hopes from this famous buffet restaurant but the menu disappointed me. Other Amish buffet restaurants... like Olde Dutch have more extensive menu. As far as the food goes, it was not bad. The salad bar was excellent and Ribs and hamwere ok, Brosted Chicken tasted over fried. Read more
It's been a few years since we've visited, but never disappointed here. Always clean, friendly staff, great comfort food, good... prices...they just keep it going! Not only is this a great spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (although admittedly breakfastis my favorite)....the bakery is also fantastic. We waited for an hour with a group of 9. They weren?t taking any grill orders and only had the buffet open so they could switch... to lunch. So after waiting in the lobby we had to wait in the buffet line. The food was typical for a buffet, cold by the timeyou made it back to your seat. The bacon was the most pathetic item. It came out of the bucket in a mass of oily, limppieces. The staff did the best they could and were friendly for the volume of patrons they had to serve. Overall, adisappointing visit. Read more
We had visited Berlin Homestead the day before. Had to wait to be seated they were very busy. Not a big deal, we expected it. We... were seated, asked immediately what our beverage choices were. She said I will be right back with your drinks and bread. Iactually said, she is up on the experience we had yesterday at the Holmes County restaurant. I ordered the meatloaf with a sidesalad and baked potato. After a while I asked about the bread, she said she forgot and went to get it. Returned with it, stillno salad. A few minutes later returned with the salad and entire meals. I told her I no longer wanted the salad, since wenormally receive them a head of the meal she said okay. We began eating, she returned and asked if I wanted anything for thesalad. I told her just give us another mac and cheese to go for my husband. I ate a few bites of my meatloaf and it was eh. Tookthe rest home for my husband's lunch. He thought his sandwich was okay. They did give us a free slice of pie we took home foranother family member. Just not impressed. My husband even suggested to me, that is you aren't getting the large salad/food bar,they aren't as concerned about us. I was truly hoping for a better experience than the day before. I love it , went there for exploring and I was amazed by the kitchen and sweets shop and gift shop. If u r hungry and really... craving for real meal, they offer a buffet for 19$ which u can eat till u r full . Good choice to be at. Read more
