This place I was introduced to by my sister. I?ve tried this place a couple of times. First time I tried the sirloin steak and... potatoes. It was definitely not cooked medium rare and tasteless. Love the food. Wish we could order more often. Would probably order from them 4x a week if they offered delivery because we love... the salads and the entrees too. but I work all night and lunch time is like the middle of the night to me so driving is out ofthe question. Located just off Rte 395 Exit 28, we stopped in after a day at Mohegan Sun. Unassuming decor but comfortable. It looked like... they were very busy with takeout orders. We were seated promptly. I ordered the meat lasagna while my wife ordered chickencarbonara. The food came out quickly and the first thing you notice is the portion size, generous is an understatement. Edited review 3/31/22 I've been coming here weekly. Finally found a place that offered many Italian dishes and a wide variety of... options close to home. Stopped going to my regular places and been coming to Mr.z's sometimes twice a week. Stopped in today andthe menu changed from a elaborate masterpiece to satisfy anyone's palate to a single page of options...... Will not be cominghere anymore since they now offer what any other pizzeria in the area offers. I was so upset we decided to eat elsewhere I eatout a lot. I go to fancy restaurants frequently. I went here for the first time and I was really impressed by the large menuwith many dishes. I got mozzarella sticks (delicious) their marinara sauce was actually good. Its pretty rare I find a marinarasauce that's edible let alone one I actually like. Chicken parm, chicken francese, chicken and broccoli Alfredo all were reallygood. I am actually impressed. The price is right and the taste of the food was really good. I will absolutely be back. I reallyenjoyed the food here. And the canolli cake was so freaking good. They have zeppole here (an Italian dessert) with cream....Iprefer ricotta. I didn't have any because I only eat zeppole with ricotta. But everything else was delicious. And the portionswere huge.
