Had a girls lunch at this lovely trendy restaurant. Simply yet tastefully decorated. Menu was a bit limited yet the food was... very good! Felt pricing was fair. If you are going for conversation however, the better choice would be the bar area. The backroom was VERY LOUD!! Just the nature of the structure itself but was not an inviting atmosphere to linger for dessert or drinks. The waitress while very efficient was a bit ‘robotic’. Said and did all the right things but no real genuine warmth andquestions/help needed seemed to be an unwelcome deviation from her task regimen. Glad we stopped in but will explore otheroptions next time in the area. Read more

Went there for the first time to try them out with my wife who has a broken foot in a cast and broken shoulder in a sling. There... were 2 empty 4 seater tables outside. They told us they cannot sit 2 people at a 4 person table. What restaurant turns customersaway? Like I said this was my first time going there…we left…and I will never go back. I will not give my money to any placethat treats people like that. There are many other local, family owned establishments that deserve the money or customers morethan them! Read more

Service was great. Very patient with our needy group. Would like a few more non-pasta items on the entree menu but I can... appreciate a condensed menu. My chicken on my chicken picatta was dry and overcooked but luckily there was plenty of sauce tohelp it out. We would visit again. Read more

Nice outdoor seating, huge wine menu and great food. Had caprese chicken sandwich and shrimp and pasta. Excellent. It was super... sunny with very little shade. I roasted, not nearly enough table umbrella tables. Read more

This was our first time eating here. It's a great little place! We ate indoors on an early Friday evening (tonight!). We were... seated right away, and our server was friendly and helpful with suggestions for drinks and appetizers. We chose the pimentocigars (like a beef egg roll) for our appetizer--mildly spicy and delicately crispy. We had salads for dinner, Asian salmonsalad for him and a spinach goat cheese salad for me. We both enjoyed our salads very much. The dressings were served inlittle bowls, so we could put on the amount we wanted. We split the limoncello cake for dessert. It was very light and theperfect finish to our meal (no photo of it, though, because we dug in before I thought to pull my phone back out lol). And,downtown Plainfield is such a pretty atmosphere to enjoy both before and after! (Our cost per person included drinks and was onthe low side of the range, $30-50!) Read more

I celebrated a special occasion here last month right when they reopened after remodeling. It was the perfect... choice! ??????????????/??????????????????????????????? Our server said everything was new inside, and the decor definitely waspart of the elegant experience. When you sit down at the table with the fancy plates already set on it, matching the napkinsrolled into the silver ring holders, with a vase of flowers, and the whole table lit by candlelight, you just felt like you werecelebrating a special night. I made reservations for two, so we got right in and were seated in the back dining room. The long,built-in fireplace runs along one side of the room above seated patrons, while a wall of richly framed mirrors covers the upperhalf of the other side, reflecting the light given off by the fancy crystal chandeliers above. Most of the tables in that roomare booth seat on the wall sides and chairs on the opposite. The booth is the style where the bench runs the entire length ofthe wall for all the tables, so I appreciated the extra room for my bags! ????????????? Their food menu is currently a plasticsheet, which the staff said is easy to wipe off. Our server left a tablet device on our table for us to look at before weordered that had their large drink menu of wine, cocktails, and beer. The few desserts were also listed on the tablet in theirown menu tab. I assumed she would take it after we ordered to give to other patrons, so rather than have to ask for it back orwait for it, I took a picture with my phone of the tablet's screen with the other drinks I was considering on it, so I would notforget their names or ingredients. ?????????????????????? Our server, Amanda, was kind and attentive, even with as crowded asHopScotch & Vine was on the Saturday night. She asked if we wanted an appetizer soon after we were seated, but I had onlyperused the tablet drink menu thus far, and she said there was no rush, as she was there until 11pm. She checked bac Read more
