I've loved Frankie's since before they moved to Plainville from Bristol. Always good food and fresh toppings for your dogs and... burgers. (Ever go down the line of toppings and get to onions that look glazed, kinda see through?) Never seen that here, beengoing here almost 2 decades. Read more

Do NOT recommend this place at all! Staff was not friendly at all! They got my order wrong , not big deal it happens BUT when... I asked nicely to fix it, they gave it back to me SOGGY, which was NOT soggy when I first got it! The burger bun was so soggy, looked like spit was on the burger, could NOT eat! I Had to throw it out! Do not ask to fix it even if they got it wrongbecause it is disturbing what is done to it! And NOT safe to eat! Read more

We really missed ordering a world famous hot dog, which this place has won awards for their hotdogs for 10 years straight. They... have all the fixings sauerkraut, several different relishes. This is a busy place because lots of locals eat here or you cantake it with you. They are very clean. You come in from a nicely paved parking lot to a counter where you order and take yourfood to a table. We had the 1/4 lb. and 1/2 lb burger which was delicious. They also have shrimp, scallops and clam meals. Read more

Great food and prices, and very fair portion sizes. The service is also fast and friendly. I love that there's a well-stocked... condiment bar with plenty to choose from. Read more

Growing up I lived right down the road from the original Frankie's. Frankie's relish was a favorite of my dad's and we used to... go there every Sunday for hot dogs. I believe that location is still open although I don't live there anymore. Frankie'sexpanded and a franchise opened near where I currently live. I tried it out and it didn't disappoint. The same flavor I rememberas a child. Of course the nostalgic interior of the original restaurant is gone and the old fashioned soda pop bar is a thing ofthe past, but the hot dogs were delicious and the french fries were just about as perfect as french fries can get. The food wasprepared quickly but not so quick that it compromised flavor. I wasn't at all surprised to see that the crowd was mostlymiddle-aged Plus and seniors. People who remember the original restaurant. I don't think I seen anyone in there under 60 yearsold which is perfectly fine with me. Read more
