What an awesome little joint. It really is a cafe. Only a handful of tables. Our waitress was very personable and friendly. All... the food we ordered was really good. I really enjoyed the beef empanada. My mojito was top notch. We ordered ropa vieja and aCuban sandwich for dinner. My wife ordered her Cuban with extra pickles and was very happy with it. The ropa vieja was reallytasty with the congri. We ordered flan to go, and that was really good too. We will definitely come back again. Read more
Found this place on Trip Advisor and wow I'm glad we did! Off the beaten track for sure. Maybe 5 tables indoors. Such friendly... staff and prompt service. The ropa vieja was perfectly seasoned. Both salty and sweet plantains were very tasty. Whatever youget, you will not be disappointed. Read more
Must Try: Empanadas, Croquetas, Vaca Frita, Cuban Sandwich (pictured) This place offers some of the best food in the area, and... easily the best and most authentic Cuban food in the area. I?ve been going to Havana Cafe for over 5 years and I?ve never had abad meal. It?s the quintessential ?hole in the wall?, but don?t let that get in the way of trying an amazing food experience. Let me tell you the truth. I have been working all day and my daughter was going to this place for dinner/take out I said no... thank you nothing looks good on the menu. But I was so hungry I said yeah go ahead Grab me the chicken croquettes sandwich. Welllet me Tel you, best sandwich I've ever had in my life. As a Latina I wanted to love this restaurant but didn?t have a good experience. I ordered 2 empanadas and tostones. The... empanadas were tasty and fresh but my tostones were incredibly thin and so hard I couldn?t eat them. I?ve tried all kinds ofLatin cuisine and have never had tostones this bad. Honestly tasted like they were old and had been re heated in oil. Also I wascharged over 13$ for these items which doesn?t match the menu prices online that should?ve come out to 8$. This isn?t a big dealprice wise but the establishment should charge the prices that are stated on the menu. For future costumers I would be mindfuland double check your prices online before paying.
