Very few good selections around this general area for Mexican food. Sol Del Mexico is a waste of time and Acapulco's is just... average and not impressive. This location sits on top of the hill on Route 1 in Plainville and is actually good sized place onthe inside. Complimentary chips and salsa, salsa was ok but not great. The menu is what you would expect and decent selections, drinks of course with some tasty good sized margaritas. The food is huge portions, and not bad at all, made to order and theservice is fast and efficient and friendly. The prices are decent, bit higher than what I have seen, but worth it. I wouldrecommend this place. Read more

I don?t know if they are under staffed or not (even though saw plenty of workers) but the experience here was very... subpar. Waited over 45 minutes for our food. Maybe 8-9 other tables here at the time. Had to ask 3 times for more chips, nevergot a water refill during the 45 minutes of waiting for food. The ?famous? fajitas were subpar at best. Barely any veggies withit, all onions. Not to mention pretty pricey for Mexican food. Read more

Came here for lunch after we went to the movies. Was pretty impressed with the lunch I got. Got the combo dos, ended up getting... a ground beef chimichanga and a pork burrito. El tapitito in north kingstown has a really delicious ground beef chimichanga andthere ground beef chimichanga at Rancho is just as good. Usually get refried beans and rice with the meal. The chips and salsawere out of this world. Read more

Delicious food, quickly served by very friendly staff. Gluten free menu is short but sufficient. Be on your toes and make sure... your server understands GF. Ask for someone else if you have any questions. My problems have been rare, but I have beenglutened. No bike rack. Coca-Cola products. New paintings. Update Fall 2017 - New "slushie-style" Mexican drinks available, such as Horchata. Yummmmmm! Update September 2022 - The tortilla chips brought before the meal are now GF, I am told. The salsais GF too. Caveat emptor. (I had some chips OK and I am VERY sensitive.) Read more

I personally rarely leave reviews whether they are positive or negative. However, I felt compelled to leave a review after my... experience with my parents a couple of nights ago. The restaurant was mildly busy when we arrived. A couple of booths were full.A small party in a separate room. Something that?s expected during a ?weekday?. It took about 20-25min just to get drinks in.The bartender ended up being the server although there were plenty of waitresses in plain sight. Which I found odd?..The entireexperience just felt uncomfortable to say the least. The service itself was 2-10. The fajitas were cold when they arrived to thetable. I had to physically get up and ask two waitresses that were right next to our booth for to-go trays. As a fellow minorityI expected this type of treatment from a white person. Not from people who are directly from your own land. It?s shameful to saythe least. I will not be returning here. Read more

My nachos were fine. My companion ordered chicken with cheese sauce and it came out badly overcooked. Chicken was paper thin and... grilled dry. Mentioned it to the waitress and she smiled and said sorry. Mentioned it again in a few minutes and showed her howdry and tough it was to cut and she smiled and said sorry. Finally had to ask for a steak knife to be able to cut through thechicken and she brought it over and said sorry. We were not happy campers. On the way out the door the hostess stopped us andsaid thank you for coming and how was everything and we told her the story and she smiled and said sorry and that was it. We'vebeen somewhat regular customers and will NOT be going back. It's not what it used to be.. Read more

I love this place! If you want great service and authentic Mexican cuisine, you need to come here. The food is fantastic and... fast. I?ve never had to wait for a table (maybe I eat earlier than some). The drinks will keep you coming back for more. Ihaven?t tried many items on the menu but my personal favorite is the fajitas!
