Great prices super friendly people kind of a dive bar vibe or just cool local little place not very busy
This was the first place I went to after moving to Plano from South Texas. The bartender (Cole) was great and super helpful with... my questions about what's around the area. Since then, about 9 months later now, this is my go-to spot. All the bartenders aregreat, the owner is great (even though he is a ravens fan), and the regulars are great too. If you go between 3pm and 7pm you'llsee the same people in there laughing and making jokes. Between 7 and 10 it's very chill and then at 10 karaoke pops off and itgets poppin. Definitely a great place if you're looking for a chill, hole in the wall bar with great people. Oh and they havemultiple TV's with all the sports channels so a good spot to go to watch a game. If you like a chill not too loud kind of place . This will be the chill spot. Has a few pool tables and special almost everyday.... Reminds me of a bar in Austin, a hole in the wall type of bar. Read more

I?m a night owl, and this ?dive bar? is my favorite one of all. I really love everything at this intersection at Coit & Spring... Creek in Plano, but? Lantern?s is my fav. They are always open until 2am. Even when no place else is. That kind of consistencygets my heart for sure! I have walked in when only one patron sat sipping a beer, but the bartender (always just one) greetsyou with a warm smile and never seems to be in any kind of hurry to close up early. When it?s busier, the same welcomingfeeling exudes from an eclectic, charming group of people one wouldn?t imagine to see together in one place. But, they all haveone thing in common?a love for karaoke?and at Lantern?s, they get to love it five nights a week, Wed through Sun. Belch, is thebest karaoke jockey/master I?ve met. He has the appropriate equipment for the space and he is equally charming and funny likethe rest of the regulars. They all know each other by first name?and, by their karaoke aliases, too. No one takes themselvestoo seriously because it?s about having a good time and trying some new tunes. I watch them enjoy cheering each other on andit?s hard not to get caught up in their desire to encourage the performer and dance or sing along?even when we bomb. First time I ever went to this place, I had a decent experience. I have gone multiple times afterwards and it seems to hold up... with a consistency of positive energy. The karaoke crowd is very dedicated with a positive motivational vibe. I've never gottenthere in time to try the food But like other places I'm not in a rush to try it since the restrooms stink really bad. I'm not afan of eating anywhere where the restrooms stink.
