Came here for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. We've had Indian/Pakastani barbeque before, so we decided to check this place... out. Turns out it was well worth it. The food was very good and the wait staff was very friendly and even recommended their mostfamous dishes since we were not familiar with the dishes. Everything tasted fresh and the mutton meat was tender, it fell offthe bone. We ordered lamb biryani, chicken boti, and shinwari mutton karahi, which was excellent. I don't remember the name of the dishes that we got but the kebab and chicken curry was delicious. We were hoping that Mutton... was going to be a curry but it was more of a dry Mutton. The girl who served was really friendly and welcoming. Will go backagain, if I'm in the area. Read more

This is the house of deliciousness, mango shikanji drink goes almost with every food must give a shot to chicken reshmi kebab.... Noor was very helpful with menu. Not a big fan of dessert, I believe it gonna make your experience wonderful COMING BACK ! Read more

We visited a month ago. The portions were generous. Peshwari Mutton Karahi - 9.5/10 The mutton was cooked to perfection and... melted in your mouth. Goes well with naan and rice. The family loved it. Colachi white Karahi Chicken - 7.5/10 The family wassplit on this dish. I personally liked it with my naan. The texture can be confusing so some but it’s a cream basedcurry. Chicken Malai Boti - 6/10 The flavor was good but the texture was too weird for my liking. The chicken is probablypounded with a meat tenderizer and become soft and grainy. I can see how people like the tenderness of the chicken but IMO thegrainy texture throws everything off. Butter naan: 9.2/10 one of the best naans I have had. Not hard, rubbery or chewy. Theright amount of crispness and it tears away easily and soaks up the curry. Vegetable Biriyani: 8.5/10 the flavor was good andthe veggies were cooked right with the perfect bite and crunch to it. Will definitely order again. Herb Butter Rice: 8.2/10 theherb butter rice complemented the curries well Masala Limo Pani: 9.5/10 it was certainly refreshing. Excellent food , great service, but would recommend more active engagement from the owners. I arrived at the restaurant late... afternoon . There were guests at only two tables and and no one at the front desk. I kept waiting for someone to come and seatme. After more than a 5 minute wait, the waitstaff appeared from the kitchen to seat me. She was very sweet (she was from Nepaland had a name that starts with an S, perhaps Simran?) and was obviously busy. I asked her about the name of the restaurant andshe explained that Colachi was the old name of Karachi. She helped me with the food selections. Then a person from one of thetable came up to me and said he was the owner and explained to me in more detail the provenance of the name. I appreciated that,but would have appreciated it more if he had gotten up from chatting with his friends and seated me sooner. After some time thefood arrived and here is my review of them- Chicken Malai Boti - 5/5 Very juicy and flavored with mild spices. Perfect for thesummer. Instead of small cubes that tend to dry out, they use strips of chicken for this kebab. Presentation wasperfect. Shinwari Karahi Mutton - 5/5 Excellent dish. Pink mutton, but perfectly soft and flavorful. Very large portion sizeserved in a real non-stick karahi. The plastic ladle may not be the most sophisticated choice, but did not detract from thequality of the dish. They recommended that if you prefer more gravy, get the Peshawari Karahi. Butten Naan - 5/5 Very soft andgenerous portion size Paneer Hunzai Handi - 5/5 I got this to go and was surprised how good this was. Very, very good. it isdifficult to impress a non-veg eater with a veg item, and yet this could very much be the star amongst everything I ordered. Icould not stop eating this. Called in to place order, and this time particularly requested the guy to avoid extra oil. Even then the food came full of... oil. When inquired, Manager’s justification was “if we don’t put oil you will end of seeing few pieces of tomatoes andmeat”. Manager’s response was more displeasing then the food.
