This restaurant is definitely made from scratch, you can taste the difference in the food. Our waitress was friendly and fast... to get our orders out. As we sat down we got our salsa and chips. I stopped at Mi Dia in Plano last night with a friend of mine. I have been several times over the years but I guess have never... reviewed them. The restaurant is located off of the North Dallas tollway. The entrance is rustic and the doors are heavy andunique. Walking into the restaurant you are instantly welcomed with the beautiful aesthetic. The bar is one of the focal pointsof the restaurant and has a circular bar top with a prime view of the kitchen. I like the textured tile. The seating throughoutthe restaurant is well appointed, the bench seats are cushy and suck you in. I like the privacy screens that they used aroundthe restaurant to create some division. Stacked stone on the walls give a nice texture. The patio overlooks a fountain and has anice ambiance. A lot of the Craft cocktails are centered around tequila which I'm not a huge fan of but my friend certainly is.She tried several drinks and enjoyed them all but the one we got a kick out of was "when hell freezes over". It is a bubblingconcoction that has a really nice spice profile and is served in a martini glass, the dry ice bubbled and fogged for quite awhile. It was garnished with a spicy salted rim and a cucumber. Really fun. There were so many fabulous options on the menu itwas really hard for us to decide! We had elote for an appetizer and shared the carne asada and the salmon. The carne asada wasperfectly cooked and was served with sauteed onions, rice and borracho beans. I did feel like it was missing one other item ofsubstance, perhaps peppers or small potatoes would have been a nice mix with the onions. The salmon had a delightful flavor andwith paired with a mango puree and a shredded cucumber top. Both really flavorful. Our server was friendly and had greatfollow-up, she did a great job. 11/20/21-This a great restaurant for a fun date night. We started with some margaritas using house infused tequilas. Then we... satisfied our curiosity with an infused tequila flight. Fun. Delicious. Fairly priced . Probably my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the Metroplex! We loved the great atmosphere... and superb customer service. Though I didn't partake, the mixed drinks looked sensational. There are so many interesting andyummy choices on the menu but I recommend that you go for the mixed fajitas. This was my second time at Mi Día and it was a great experience. The staff are lovely and very attentive to customers. I got... the Oaxaca Stacked Enchiladas and my mom got the Hatch Tacos. I got chicken for the enchiladas instead of beef and the chickenwas tender and tasty. I love the salsa here, full of flavor and just the right amount of spice. Would definitely recommend! Read more
