I ordered grits, salmon croquettes and fried okra. Everything was delicious! The croquettes were a little spicy. LOVE! A... pleasant surprise. Read more

I hate to give bad reviews. But the team was definitely not prepared for service. I called in my order, waited 10 min before... someone came to the phone. I arrived at the restaurant and waited 1 hour and 30 min before my order was up. So total 2 hours. The 1 hour and 30 min wait was the worst for me. No explanation, no complementary drink nothing. Extremely disappointed. Read more

Change your hours online, came at 5pm on a Monday evening for nothing. The snappy reply tells me all I need to know. I would... have accepted a simple apology from your reasoning, but just FYI, reviews are based on the customer?s experience, my experiencewas driving through traffic to a place that was supposed to be open, no letter left on the door, just a locked door with the tvon inside, spend more time fixing your missteps instead of trying to make retorts for valid reviews. Be blessed and I wish youthe best? Read more

The food tastes really good, I had the smothered chops, mac, cabbage, cornbread & rice. The service was really good, very polite... and courteous. I didn?t wait too long, but I did order pickup through door dash, though. I just love everything about it &definitely will be back!!!! Highly recommend if you?re in the area craving some good southern style soul food! Read more

Where do I start? When ordering she acted like she had an attitude when asking questions about the menu. She makes you wait 1hr... when your the only one. There are no descriptions on what the plates include such as the smothered porkchop. Its a bakedporkchop smothered in brown gravy however it lays on a bed of rice. Which is not stated on the menu and she (server or whoever)didnt mention it either when asked. The worst part was that the smothered pork chop was too salty like she dropped the salt init. Also the brown gravy was in my 2 sides which changed the taste of them and ruined it. The most disappointing thing was thestore bought yellow cake with caramel sauce spread on top. I would not be going back. Read more

Sunday is truly the day of the Lord! It is my "Treat Day!" Let the church say..."Amen!" Why should we call it a "cheat day,"... when the food you are eating tastes Mmmm...Mmmmm...so good! This is what I have to say about my experience eating at SavoriteSouthern Cuisine in Plano, TX. The food was Mmmm....Mmmmm...so good with a cherry on top! :) I ordered a vegetable plate withmacaroni and cheese, collard greens, yams, a dinner roll, and a side of cabbage. Everything was seasoned so well. Most placesthese days don't serve good macaroni, but this place did not disappoint. It had the right amount of cheese and enough salt andpepper to where no additional was needed. The greens were very juicy and favorable, just like I like them. The yams were alittle sweet (I don't eat a lot of sugar), but they were very tender and had the right amount of cinnamon to nutmeg ratio. Thecabbage was a hit as well. It had flavor and it wasn't too mushy (I can't stand mushy cabbage...lol). To wash this hibernatingSunday dinner down, I ordered a cup of green tea lemonade (the lemonade is made in-house). A bit sweet for my tastebuds, butstill a good addition to my meal. Overall the meal was delicious! The customer service from the man and woman team behind thecounter spoke volumes in more words than one. Together they were managing phone orders, taking orders over the counter, cookingthe food in the back, and preparing orders for the customers. I am not sure if they are the owners of this establishment, butthey both served as an excellent representation of what Southern Hospitality truly is! I am a satisfied customer that will bereturning on my next "Treat Day!" ;) Read more

I probably wouldn?t have complained if I hadn?t drove a total of 50 mins to get my food and make it back home. Along with the 40... min wait to get my food prepared that was ?fresh to order?! Everything tasted like it came straight out of a can!!! Let?s startwith the dressing! It was stuffing from the box! Cabbage was over soaked in water! Pork chop half done. Gravy was thicker thanthe canned kind. Oh the Mac and cheese the noodles were over cooked and you could tell they placed it in the oven way past time. The cornbread was sweeter than jiffy. It tasted like cake. The food had absolutely no seasoning. I would never recommend thisplace to a true southern person, maybe if you?re from up north this may work for you! 2 stars only bc the couple who workedtheir were nice. They do need help and it will need to start with that menu! Read more

I tried the vegetable plate. In all honesty, the food was pretty bland. The yams were a bit dry, and didn't taste fresh or... thoroughly cooked. I'm a big fan of Mac and cheese but this one lacked the flavor that I'm used to. The cabbage was meh...itcould use a little more seasoning. The cornbread was decent and was the best thing out of all the items I had. The bananapudding was decent too (a little on the sweet side for me though). The staff are friendly which saved this place from getting a2 star rating. Read more
