We always enjoy our the food at Yama. They have a good variety of rolls and a lot of options in their main menu. Their Chinese... dishes are a must try! My favorite is the fried rice. Only downfall there can be a wait during rush hour and staff are alwaysrunning around? so you have to wait a little for service. Read more
All around great experience and yummy fresh food. I went around 11pm on friday and it was still pretty busy. Staff was friendly... and food was delicious and great quality. They have late night specials which was cool. I got the yellowtail, salmon, andsnapper sashimi, 8 sushi (salmon, spicy salmon, spicy crawfish, spicy tuna) and takoyaki from the specials. Tiny sushi roll orders were awful! You could not taste the "shrimp" at all. You have to fill out your orders on a paper which... was weird and unprofessional. We ordered a plate to go and they "forgot" to make it for us even though they charged us! We hadto wait another 30 min for them to make our food. I have no idea why this place is busy when they don't have a great service andtheir food portion is nothing comparing to other places! Read more
This location offers Chinese cuisine also! Therefore, the selection of Japanese is cut back. I didnt see wagyu beef on hot rock,... bummer. We had Tonkatsu Ramen (4.5 stars), Chasu Pork (5 stars), Takoyaki (3 stars), fresh salmon sashimi (5 stars), SalmonDelight roll (cucumber wrapped) (5 stars), Butterfly Kisses roll (salmon wrapped) (5 stars). Fresh salmon 5pc - $15, the 2 rolls- $15 each. Service is as expected...not excellent, yet not bad. Atmosphere is not for dates, for family rather. A fun spot for late night meals! If you?re craving authentic Japanese food then this is the place to go. If you?re vegan or... vegetarian, I highly recommend their eggplant in garlic sauce with sticky rice, it?s delectable! Read more
Most izakaya in my area are pretty straight forward...but this place has a different feel. I can't explain it but the tempura... mix was good. Sushi was good. Server even talked me into a Quail egg shot which I've never seen before but it was great! Read more
I love Yama Izakaya, and you will too!! This place has great sushi, sake, and their unagi rice is fire!! I highly recommend this... spot. They?re open late till 2:00 am also, and have a late night menu. Read more
