I love the theme of the place! My father, younger brother and husband are all musicians. So I loved the music memorabilia. The... overhead radio was playing good bluegrass/folk music. I was working so I asked for a quick and easy grilled cheese. It was fourcheeses and so delicious! The menu says five but I didn't want the pepper jack cheese on mine. It came with kettle chips and aside. I got bbq chips and baked beans. They were so good! I will stop there any time I'm in that area! Read more
Checked out Plain Folk Cafe after church this morning, for breakfast, in Pleasant Plain. This is an awesome roadside diner in... an old schoolhouse from 1913. A quaint place with delicious food, and amazing homemade jam to go with the delicious biscuits. Ihad the Hippy Hash and hubby had Smothered Southern Stack; both were delicious. What a great spot for breakfast. We rode our motorcycle here for breakfast and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The... staff was welcoming and the food was great. I had the Hippie Hash. I highly recommend it. We will be back for lunch. Read more

Live music Thursday, Friday and Saturdays year round. Hear the opening act on the outside deck from 6-7:30 in the summer. Then... the featured band begins on the indoor stage at 7:30. Or stay outside in summer and watch featured band on TV screen and enjoythe sunset! My friend got the BLT sandwich. It looked like a pound of bacon was on there! We each had a different meal and allof it was good. The chicken and beef are cooked low and slow so entrees are moist and tender. They offer wraps, paninis,quesadilla, salads, soups, chili, sandwiches and desserts. Also known for their grilled cheese sandwiches, 16 varities! Budgetfriendly. We came for lunch to find out it's all day breakfast on Sunday. We ordered the traditional with over easy eggs. Eggs were hard... and the toast wasn't even toasted. My husband ask for crisp bacon and got limp flabby bacon. Terrible meal Read more
