Take this review with a grain of salt. Not having tried Taiwanese food before I can't compare it to any other Taiwanese place. I... can only give my impressions. For my American palette the flavors were very different but not unappealing. I decided to beadventurous and try the pig ears and I didn't hate the flavor but the texture turned me off a bit. Maybe there is something elseon the menu I didn't try that I would love. Hard to say. Any time you experiment with an entirely new culture's cooking it takestime and experiences with different menu items to find those things that you will come back for. Read more
It is not authentic Taiwan beef noodle. Kind of on the lighter favor side. It is kind of pricy for a bowl of beef noodle soup.... Their side dishes are pretty though. Read more
Great chew on the noodles, also good flavor overall on this dish. There's a fair amount of dried fish, scallops, cucumber, and... tiny shrimp for flavor and it pairs well with the sesame sauce on this dish. If you find yourself conflicted because of themixed reviews on their beef noodle soup, consider getting this, "Dried Scallop Fish and Shrimp with XO sauce (Taiwan style)" —aka their B11. I hardly ever write reviews, but seeing the current 3.8 feels really unfair towards the restaurant's food andthe service they provided us in our experience. Read more
The Food I've been to Pacific Food Hall quite a few times, but haven't got a chance to try Bandao Beef Noodle until now. This is... a beef noodle soup place, so of course I ordered their Bandao Signature 3 in 1 Beef Noodle Soup (??????). This I believe hasbeef shank, beef tendon, and beef tripe. It is also topped with vegetables along with the noodles. The flavor was good, andthere was a good amount of ingredients. The noodles are also cooked well, there's a good bite to them, not too soft, not toohard. They also have a variety of other dishes that are not bad. My friend got the Sweet & Sour Cucumber and the Pork Dumplingwith Green Chives to try. The Miscellaneous The restaurant itself is in a food court with a shopping plaza, so it is notvisible from the outside. There is plenty of parking available within the plaza itself. The restaurant does have its own smalldining area. But you can dine at the public area of the food court as well. The service and staff was good, standard, nothing tocomplain about. They have a decent sized menu with many types of dishes to select from. Other than noodle soup, they also havedry noodles, rice, dumplings, side dishes, and more. Don’t trust those 5 star reviews, they are SUPER BAD quality, extremely OVERPRICED, NO TASTE at all!!! We paid $17 for just... one piece of beef, one giant piece of tomato, and one giant piece of radish. that’s all, nothing else but noodle. I’ve neverseen this kind of low quality food ever in my life. We didn’t even finished it because it was no taste at all. There are somany restaurants in that plaza and anyone of them will be way better than this. JUST GO AWAY, Don’t trust those fakereviews!!! Terribly bland. Sadly overpriced. Really depressing. Most of the restaurant is good. Beef and tendon are cooked well. Its dumplings are also very tasty; however, the beef noodle... soup is blend and as a result the good noodle in the bowl is tasteless. Will give it a chance to improve in a month, then tryagain. Read more
Nice spot in the shopping center. Fast service. Noodles feel good in the mouth like it’s hand tossed but it’s not, friendly... staff as well. Just the place needs a little TLC. They have boxes everywhere in the seating area. Like it’s a storage but wesit there also. Kind of crowded. Read more
