My family and I enjoyed this restaurant quite a bit. They have authentic menu items that you just can't get anywhere else. My... family and I are from California, where you can get authentic Mexican cuisine almost anywhere you go. That's just not the caseout here in the Plymouth area. We've MAYBE found like 2. Marcelo's is one of the two places where we deem authentic. I hadlengua (cow tongue), and buche (pig stomach) burrito. Most people find that just the sound of these foods is offputting, but ifyou actually try them here at Marcelo's, you'll find that the food is bursting with flavor. The burrito was packed full of rice,refried beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, and was served with salsa on the side. My wife had the beef sopes. She got three of them,and was absolutely stuffed. My son had the kid's chicken nuggets with fries. He couldn't help but rave about that. They weresuper crispy and very different from the mediocre McDonald's nuggets and fries. "Marcelo's" was a great find - Good portions and prices, simple and clean. Friendly owner and service. No 'chips and salsa' but... left feeling full without 'heavy'. Steak tacos were great, sopes were perfect, and quesadilla good meat & cheese mix. We stoppedin when driving through town and enjoyed enough we made it our stop on way home, would recommend.
