This was my first visit to Fosters Boiler Room. The atmosphere is really neat. I love that there were fireplaces & fires going.... It makes it so cozy. Especially on a rainy night like tonight! The service was standard, the hostess was very nice & ourwaitress was okay. I had the chicken sandwich minus the chipotle mayo. The pickles had some herbs I didn't enjoy so I ended uptaking those & the bottom bun off. It was an okay sandwich, I wouldn't order it again. The fries were however delicious! Myfriends shared the steak with bacon butter special (49.99). They enjoyed it. For dessert we all had the chocolate cake, andinstead of espresso whipped cream we chose regular & added vanilla ice cream. While the ice cream was tiny, the dessert was verynice! There was hot melted chocolate in the middle; and the whipped cream was quality. I would definitely go back again. I wouldlike to try the fish & chips. Read more

Way more atmosphere than I would guess from the outside. Cool history and amazing creativity to convert this structure into a... restaurant. Very cozy and quaint. We could talk without raising our voices. The food was delicious. Read more

Used to be a good option in Plymouth. Ordered take out with two burgers tonight medium and ended up with hockey pucks when we... got home. Edit: was going to be two stars. Thought I could at least get away with eating the middle. No. Charred from one endto the other. I've had good meals here but whoever cooked this needs a memory test. Must've forgotten about it until it smokedout the kitchen. Just go to McDonald's, they have better burgers. Read more

Such great atmosphere and historical photos and quotes on the walls... And the food was great! I had the fish and chips, and my... husband had one of their steak dishes. Both were fantastic. Reuben fritters and snowballs were fascinating local dishes, too! Read more

Most unusual restaurant we've ever been to - part inn with gift shop, several rooms serving wonderful food; very old... conglomeration of buildings with much of area's history displayed on walls. One dining area had enormous uniquefireplace/furnace. Grounds beautifully kept. Food service very good - students at Plymouth University love working there.Ambience throughout so appealing. Could go on & on !!! Read more

The service, atmosphere and food were very good. Prices were mid-range. I had the chili salmon and it was excellent. The only... drawback was the ceiling fans were somewhat annoying. It looked like they were on high speed. The wind they made was actuallyblowing the menu around making it necessary to grip it with both hands to keep it still. With the AC on as well it made it a bitcold too. Dial those fans back and it would be a 6 star review. I really thought the place was a top notch restaurantotherwise. Read more

Love this place. They have perhaps the best tasting appetizers anywhere. Always fun stopping here after a day at Rumney Rocks.... Located within the Common Man Inn, it's a very cool little joint with great service and ambience. Definitely a place for repeatvisits. Read more

Fosters Boiler room offers a big dining room and a great food experience. They have great choices of wine as well as a wine... Wednesday with their bottles 50% off! Their steak tips are to die for and it was actually the only place in Plymouth that Icould find mashed potatoes which are made in house as well as all their sauces. Practically all the food items are made in housefrom fresh ingredients. The staff is welcoming and they serve their wine with a touch. Get a bottle you?ll know what i?m talkingabout. Some friendly notable servers are Jessica and Conner. I will be back. Read more
