Horrible customer service. Food poisoning from the egg rolls. Not even good for overpriced dishes. Definitely dont recommend.
Recently moved to Massachusetts and was told by several sources that this was a great Chinese place. I am now on day three of... some of the worst food poisoning I?ve had in my life. I rate it 3.5 but I?ll round it up to a 4. asked for sweet and sour chicken and got chicken fingers with a tub of sweet and sour... sauce. The vegetable lo mein was bland and barely had any vegetables. Overall the food was eatable and the chicken fingers weregood even though I didn?t ask for them. Read more
We called late in the evening with a huge order. 17 people all ordering specific dinners. They were awesome on the phone, as it... was chaotic trying to place the order for all this food and accurately repeated the order back, first try, emphasizing theallergies. It was only going to be about a 25 minute wait. When we got there the staff was very friendly and the food was readyshortly after we had paid for everything. Every order was perfect. Nothin was missing or incorrect. The allergy was clearlylabeled and it was all delicious. I loved the steamed pork dumplings and crab Rangoon! Great experience. Read more
I?ve been here twice... and enjoyed the second visit more. The ginger chicken with string beans was outstanding as was the egg... rolls... they were the best I?ve ever had. I just moved from Boston to the Cape about a year ago so my standard for Chinese foodis Chinatown. I was going to Way Ho in Buzzards Bay but Way Ho?s prices are ridiculous. I paid $21 for house fried rice andegg rolls and the $13 fried rice had hardly any meat or even vegetables in it so I had enough. A friend recommended GoldenPalace and I?m glad because it?s better than Way Ho and much less expensive. It?s worth the extra five minute ride over theBourne bridge to get this quality at reasonable prices. Read more
We had read about this place on our town FB page and happened to be near it at lunch time so figured we'd give it a try. So glad... we did. It deserves all the praise our fellow residents gave it. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the decor whichmight be more important for many people. This is a typical plaza Chinese restaurant. It's a little dark and not one bit fancy.For me, I don't care, but some people might. We ordered simple lunch specials, egg foo yung, boneless ribs, rice etc...and thefood was excellent. The Hot and Sour soup was so good we got a large one too go! If you're interested in delicious food morethan fancy decor this is an excellent choice. Read more
I've heard great things about this place and I had recently moved to the area so I decided to give it a try. It was only 5... minutes away from me, so I had hoped this would be my to-go Chinese spot. Let me preface this by saying I'm a vegetarian, sopeople who ordered other dishes may have had (and hopefully did have!) a better experience. I ordered General Tso's tofu fortakeout. They placed their (seemingly homemade and very cider-y) ducksauce in a little plastic condiment cup that leaked all inthe inside of my takeout bag. I open my tofu to discover they had plopped my sauce on top and couldn't be bothered to even mixit up. Because of this, there was no excess sauce for me to put on my other tofu, so half of my meal had no sauce. The tofu wasraw and falling apart on the inside (usually it's fried or cooked in some way) and the outside breading was soggy, falling off,and not fully fried either. I took one bite and threw the rest away; it was mushy and really unappetizing to eat. Most of thebroccoli that came with it was withered and inedible. A total waste of $11! When I placed my order over the phone, the man onthe line asked me what I wanted, said okay, and was about to hang up the phone. I had to quickly ask how long it would takebefore he hung up and he didn't take a name or phone number, or tell me the total. When I arrived at Golden Place, a waitresssitting in a booth came over and gave me my food. She hadn't even waited until I had opened my wallet to put my change back inbefore she had already walked away to go sit back down, without even a "goodnight" or "thank you" or anything.
