I had the almond chicken with a mac and cheese side, salad with poppy dressing, and blonde brownie for dessert. The chicken is... so big! Rice is hidden underneath it. How they cooked the chicken was to perfection. Delicious, crispy, and each bite I couldtaste the almond bits. Mac had crispy bits on top. As for dessert, very creamy and gooey. Would definitely come here again if Ivisit the city again. Read more

I had a great experience at Jakers as usual. Parking at this location is rather limited though. My only complaint is with the... blackened chicken alfredo. The chicken was chewy and soft, not exactly what I would consider “blackened”. Love how closethis location is is just off the road coming out of the Bear River Valley, and my bartender was very friendly as well. Food cameout in a very appropriate amount of time for ordering in the middle of dinner rush as well! Read more

This Pocatello location had a awesome outside seating area. It was nice to sit back with a cocktail and food on a crisp fall day... with a little fire pan. Read more

Two-star reviews deserve explanation. I travel a lot for work, so I find myself eating out alone more than I would like. Ces't... la vie. Don't make it worse by being the hostess that says "Just you?" when I ask for a table, followed by the server greetingyou and saying "Just one tonight?" (Hint to servers everywhere - don't call your guests "friend". I am not your friend, I amyour customer.) So Jaker's has a pretty broad menu for a bar and grill. It's not the least expensive place out there, but it'sgot better than decent ambiance. I was seated at a nice booth in the bar, which was a nice plus because they could have asked meto sit at the bar because I was "Just one". My waiter came by and asked what I'd like to drink about thirty seconds after he'ddropped off the dinner menu and drink menu. I told him I hadn't had a chance to look yet. Then he passed by my table at leastfour or five times before asking for my order. By then I'd had a chance to look at both menus, so I ordered the meatloaf ($25)and a glass of merlot. The bar menu only had one merlot by the glass, but the waiter said I had a choice of two. Not knowingeither name he mentioned, he then said "Do you prefer more tannins, or less?" I went with less. In the end it showed up as housemerlot, so I don't know what it was, but it was very good. I love meatloaf and don't have it often. It sounded interesting asit incorporated Italian sausage, which I thought would add some nice flavor. I was wrong. The most flavor that the meatloafoffered actually came from the gravy. I will give them extra credit for the gravy not being too salty, which is the case moreoften than it should be. He asked what side I wanted when I ordered, and when I was apparently taking too long finding them onthe menu, he reeled off all of the available sides (including mashed potatoes, which already came with the meatloaf). I wentwith the asparagus. At first glance, the asparagus looked good, grilled and hot with my first bite Read more

My martini was the bomb!!! Like the biggest bomb-digity!! It was like little explosions of sweet huckleberries bursting on my... tongue and tart little lemon drops singing "hallelujah" in my mouth! Yum! Amazing service! Even with larger parties. We had 9people, half of them kids, and they didn't even blink an eye at it. They were welcoming, helpful, and super on top of theirgame! The food was fantastic! They even have a designated GLUTEN FREE menu!! We loved our experience and look forward to comingback again! Read more

Ok so we tried Jakers a couple of months ago and thought we would wait and try it again and see if the results were the... same…drum roll please. Yes it was the same but better. So here is why: 1. The host remembered us and our preference forseating. 2. The food was just as good. 3. The service was outstanding and prompt even from those that were not our server. Askedfor some butter and she said no problem and got it even tho she probably had other customers to wait on. 4. Cleanliness was wasabove par. Bathroom and Kitchen areas. 5. Friendliness was outstanding. I love when staff is glad to see you and you and itdoesn’t come off as fake or pressured. A smile for a smile. Vets they do offer a Discount with ID. This is a must try. Ilove local businesses and not just the chains. Love to support our communities. Read more

Take out order was complete mess. Food soggy. Pizza stacked on top of each other jammed in to go big made for a mushy pizza... sandwich. No lid on appetizer, which I think is how rest of food and take out bag got saturated. The kicker here is in trying tomake things better for the next person, I dm’d this place to give them feedback so I didn’t have to resort to a bad review.I don’t want free meal during next visit or any of that handout fix. I only want a piece of mind that my review will betterthe next person. Their GM asked for my contact to reach out to me….crickets. I responded several times and still no response. It is clear they (he/she) doesn’t value my experience enough to better their product and service. I’m hoping this GM willfigure out customer service and represent the owners better in the future. Read more

This place was amazing ???? our server was so sweet! We got the "steak strips" appetizer. They where SO tender. The Philly... cheese steak sandwich was amazing. The crispy chicken sandwich was, so so. The chicken was so heavily battered it fell off and Ionly ate the chicken after the breading was removed. Fries and onion ring were great also. Read more
