Had their griot, fried plantains, rice and beans dinner plate at an October 2022 Caribbean Festival. This restaurant did not... have a long line. I should have known the food was going to be bad. Most of the other food vendors at the festival had a longline of customers. This restaurant?s food was not seasoned, the meat was very dry and tough, and the food tasted and felt likeleftovers. At the Caribbean Festival, their food did not represent the culture well. What a shame because there were people ofall nations at the festival who may have created their first impression of the culture from this poorly represented food thatlacked flavor. Read more

This is the WORST food I ever had in my life, the fried fish I bought was a waste of money. The fish smelled bad, threw it away.... The plantain taste like it?s been sitting all day, the marinade taste so bad ,everything was bad even the pickliz . Whoever iscooking back there need another job, cooking ain?t for you. Me being Haitian and knowing what Haitian food is suppose to taste like this is soooo trassshhh ?.I never had food this bad the... rice is Dried and the meat is dried no taste at all and they don?t clean the meat good at all I got fried turkey and fried goatthey left the skin on the goat the fat and they give so much bones as well, just nasty the salad was spoil. I don?t live or work in the area but would probably be a regular if I did. I was looking for something quick to eat on my lunch... break after being on assignment nearby. MBS was a great, family owned restaurant with authentic Caribbean (primarily Haitian) food! We had griot and chicken plates with... two sides from the daily lunch special (free drink included). Would definitely come back; great local eatery and service! Read more
