Not bad, but not great. There was two things I really liked so I'll start there. Number one, the atmosphere were really nice and... clean, big fan of clean places. Then number 2, the truffle fries were outta this world! I have had many truffle fries and if Ijust went here to have truffle fries it would be a 5 out of 5, tops 3 truffle fries I've had. That being said everything elsewas just okay. The nachos were out of a can (specifically jalapeños and tomatoes), which is only annoying because thedescription really made it seem like they'd be great (see menu picture); not to mention, a few chips were burned. My gripes: 50%of the waters we got tasted funny, if you look at my burger picture you'll see that the fries are the definition of average -this is an issue because adding fries is an additional $4.95 (for that price they should have been amazing), and finally theservice was just okay. The manager/owner was visibly frustrated when we asked the several to being us the truffle fries (astandard side of the NY Strip) that were mistakenly not brought out initially. Mash potatoes were brought out instead the firsttime, but we never ordered them so I'm not sure why he was mad... anyways, drink prices weren't bad and neither were prices ingeneral. Great food and the bartender was awesome but that was after we got up from the dining area to move to the bar. Waitress never... showed up. We sat, read through the menu, decided what we wanted and waited 12 minutes before moving to the bar. Hostess wasfriendly and sat us right away. Just seemed to be a lack of care by the waiting staff. This was probably the best thing to ever come up on my Instagram feed. Love that you can reserve ahead and get reminders. The... place is fabulous. The service was OUTSTANDING!! Denise was our waitress and could not have been any better. I went for theChicken Milanese and it did not disappoint!! Denise was so accommodating when I wanted pictures with my family and literallymoved furniture for us!! I eat out a lot and I know good service and value! I will definitely be back. Enjoyed tavern five quite a bit. The service was friendly and efficient, and it felt like we were dining in someone’s... backyard. The whiskey cocktails were decent but weren’t stirred well, so I ended up drinking a mouth full of syrup initially,then the rest was overpowered by the whiskey. If it had been stirred correctly each step would have been delicious. My choppedsalad with shrimp was quite good, and the veggie burger that was made in house was great!
