The internet was terrible actually it was non-existent. I needed it that day for my online assignment and thought I could grab... food and focus on that. I stopped by this restaurant on my way home to Chicago after camping in the Ozarks. I eat at various Denny's restaurants around... the country pretty often and, after a long weekend of camping fare, I was looking forward to sitting down to a good old Denny'ssirloin steak. So that's what I ordered. The food itself was fine. That's what I like about big chain diners: if you frequentone, you pretty much know what you're going to get wherever you go. Now about the service - and particularly the management atthis location on this day (Labor Day 2022). The restaurant was pretty busy and there was only one server on duty. It tookforever for my food to arrive. I mean, I get it; with Covid, everyone's shorthanded. At first, I was pretty ticked off at myserver but, as I watched what was happening, I realized my frustration was directed at the wrong person. I saw the manager keptseating more and more new customers without pitching in to help that server. At one point, I saw 9 tables filled withpeople. To make it worse, after watching the server try to keep up with everything with a smile on her face, the manager begandressing her down right at the check out counter. She wasn't yelling at her but I couldn't believe it. Instead of helping theserver out and taking a table or running food, the manager told the server she wasn't doing a good job and everything that wasgoing wrong was the server's fault. I was livid. I hope that little server (who was absolutely busting her backside) finds abetter job elsewhere where her hard work will be appreciated! Read more
Absolutely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! ordered my food, came incorrect. Had them fix my order again. Sat at table and waited for a... refill of my drink that never happened. When I finished eating, I requested a to-go box and after 10 minutes never received one.Got up to go to cashier to request a to-go box and the waitress ran off with my food. I requested my check which was $18 and shejust smuggled and said I?m sorry for taking off with your food. Paid the bill and left to never return again. They are thievesor food bandits. Read more
Denny's classic All-American Grand slam breakfast, what more can I say. Four stars for really awesome service!! Took one star... off because whoever's in the kitchen burnt my pancakes. Read more
We've never had such poor service. When we arrived we were told, "I can't take your order for 15 or 20 minutes 'cause our cook's... behind but you can wait if you want to." Our wait was 45 minutes instead of 15. There was less than 6 tables there. As we werefinishing the cook came out and asked how many was left and was told one more...his response was " They can wait till "___"getshere, I'm done cooking for tonight. " Read more
Excellent family breakfast experience. The host was quick to seat us and accommodate a large group. Our waitress was friendly... and attentive. She kept our drinks full and made sure the kitchen mistakes were quickly corrected. Coffee was great too! Overallthe meal was excellent and the restaurant was clean. This isn't your typical Truck Stop restaurant if your just travelingthrough. I recommend making the stop. Read more
We came here after the science center event on every first Friday each month and it was my first time ever eating here. Even... though they were swamped and had only one server and one cook, they were really nice and polite. I went with my family and my 9year old brother and he was cranky, they were extremely polite. I left satisfied and surprised with even with short staffed,they were amazing. Read more
