Went there last night; it was absolutely awful. The only thing that was good was the friendly cashier (part host) & our... waitress, McKenna. When we first walked in we waiting for about 5 minutes with no one even acknowledging us. Then one of theworkers decided to start yelling about how she clocked out and she?s not hosting, very awkward. The cashier/now host, came andapologized & sat us. Our waitress was great, she was friendly and provided wonderful service. Her management absolutely failedher. She was clearly very busy and from where we were sat we could see where the food got set under the heat warmers waiting tobe ran. The manager I?m assuming she was in plainclothes, was standing by our food & to go food not doing much but talking tothe workers while our food sat there for 10 minutes while our waitress was running around busy. As a manager, she should havestepped up and helped out. I watched our waitress grab our food and they had messed something up so she returned it before itever reached our table. Which the manager who sat it out should have noticed ????. We finally got our food and everything wascold/Luke warm. The only thing I actually could eat was the Mac and cheese. I got the bbq and it was covered in ketchup withsome seasonings, meat was dry from sitting under the heat lamps and just not edible. I would never go again. I Love Carey Hillard's. This is one of my favorite seafood restaurants. Everything is good. The service is exceptional. ... Everyone treats you like family. I've also held several birthday dinners here buffet style. They will hold your cake for youwhen you do that. They also have a drive-in service where you can get your food to go or eat in your car. This place honestly just was not good. My son got the chicken tenders and they had black areas on them. My two oldest got the... BBQ sandwich and they barely touched it. It had super strange coloring and looked like it maybe once had cheese on it that wasremoved. The worst thing about this place was our waiter. He was EXTREMELY confused about the menu and about what couod orcouldn't be ordered. We had or food less than 30 seconds and he asked if we wanted boxes before we had ever started eating. Hethen asked what hotel we were staying in that night (uh stranger danger). He forgot part of our order and then when I mentionedit he kept asking over and over again if I forgave him. He honestly made me and my children feel extremely uncomfortable. Wewould of done better to just go to the McDonald's in the parking lot next to us. Read more
This hair was sooo long!! I understand that people get over. But they are making me bring the food back. No refund and I?m on my... break and they need me to bring the plate back. So they can make another one. Definitely my last time ordering. I want to showhow long the hair is but at this point they may think it?s a lie. I feel like they can do better. Read more
First time here. Thanks to Covid19 all of the fast food places closed their dining inside area, but the drive through were open... and packed with a lines of vehicles. Even Ruby Tuesday's was closed, it had closed at 9pm and it was about 5 passed 9. I wantedto sit inside to eat because I hate eating in the car, so we stumbled on this place. It was not crowded and you do need yourmask to eat inside. You have to wait to be seated. It was pretty clean inside and the table was clean. The men's bathroom was inpretty good shape even after 9pm. Everything is supposed to be cooked when ordered here. We ordered a large onion rings for anappitizer. They came out hot and crunchy and they were so good they are lightly battered just like I like them, just as good asPopeye's onion rings were before they stopped making them, which was also cooked when ordered. The sauce that come with theonions rings was pretty good especially when you dip it in some ketchup. My daughter said her ceasar chicken salad was good. Mywife had grilled salmon with green beans, hush hushpuppies and sweet potato fries. She said it was good. Her salmon in myopinion had nice seasoning, but it was a little to dry in some spots, still good just a little too over grilled. I had the 3combo seafood platter, which I choose shrimp, scallops, and oysters, with green beans, potato salad, and hushpuppies. I willstart with the very bad and bad. The green beans were canned and were not good at all. The potato salad was too sweet probablymade with miracle whip. Yuk! I did not like the potato salad. The hushpuppies were fried good but was not sweet enough. Theoysters, shrimps and scallops were lightly battered and fried just right. They were good but they were missing some good seafoodseasoning. The cocktail sauce was terrible, it was too sweet and not nearly enough horseradish. Our waitress was awesome! Shewas very attentive, professional, accommodating and courteous. FYI - before I start I have to say the club sandwich was very good .Well, I have to take the 5 star review that I added about an... hour ago off the table and I'm keeping the pic below to show you why the one star. I was just talking to my girlfriend whopicked up the food and she informed me that she ordered double fries and they would put them in the same box. Now an extra orderof fries is $5. Look at the pic below. Do you see double fries? Cuz I sure don't. I knew giving y'all a 5 star review was toogood to be true as I said in my earlier review. And no I am not talking to Cindy because she is very rude. $28 for a clubsandwich ann extra order of fries and a $8 chicken finger dinner and a large drink I'm disabled and you have managed once againto take money from my wallet without me knowing.
