Hands down best brunch spot in Hampton Roads! The building is so cute, I love the landscape, and the food is to die for! The... cheese grits are the bees knees! Read more

We had a brunch at 185 on the way back from Outer Banks. We were lucky enough to get here just before it got really busy. Great... food and very friendly staff. Their Shrimps and Grits is to die for. We will definitely be back next year. Read more

I highly recommend this place! I visited on a Wednesday at about 1pm and was easy to get a table. I also noticed they have very... nice outdoor seating with shade. I ordered the breakfast burrito with "smash" browns. The burrito was fantastic with eggs,"smash" browns, onions, and peppers. The only reason for 4 stars versus 5 is my side of smash browns were slightly cold.. Theburrito was piping hot, though. I will definitely be visiting again in the future. Read more

I found this place when searching for non-chain restaurants in the area. I went in today for breakfast. Everything was a hit... from the cleanliness, service, and the food. I ordered the 185 plate which everything was delicious but the smash browns wereout of this world. I will most definitely be back to try lunch soon! Read more

I had their Hangover Plate and a bloody mary. The drink was simple but tasty with a definite kick from the spice. The biscuits... and gravy and potatoes are probably the best I've had in this area. Everything was cooked perfectly and the flavors melded well. The only minor gripe I have is with the pool of oil/grease that came on the plate which I assume is run off from the eggs. (Isoaked it up with a napkin before snapping the pic/eating). Overall and enjoyable meal and I will definitely return. Secondvisit and I wasn't as impressed. The Smoked Brisket Sandwich had an unappetizing amount of fat on the meat and tastedreheated(?). The smashbrowns also weren't as well cooked or seasoned as the previous visit. A couple of the workers are quitefriendly but service was a bit of a miss with individuals more interested in chatting than checking on tables. Read more

185 is amazing. The service is fast and friendly, the food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions and the prices are... incredibly reasonable. The quality of the food is exceptional and fresh with the owner on site, hands on in the kitchen orgreeting guests. Every server has a smile no matter how busy or hectic. Plenty of parking so that is not an issue. If youknow what time your arrival is, you can opt to make a reservation. The outside seating is clean and quaint with banana trees, palms and flowers. Tables have umbrellas to protect from sun. We HIGHLY recommend 185. It really is a great experience. Read more

Foor and service was good. Coffee was absolutely awful. Tasted like it had been sitting on a burner all day. They offered me... flavored creamer (Coffeemate) but I drink my coffee black. Quality coffee doesn't need a bunch of cream and sugar to taste good.So I would not get that again. Though the food was good and service was friendly and fast. My son ordered the shrimp and gritsand I ordered the 185 plate with French toast, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. That was a little pricey for what it is. Thoseingredients are very cheap and the cooking methods are basic so not sure why it cost $14 or $15. I might return to try lunch atsome point. Read more
