Grumbles was a nice place to eat. Restaurant ambiance is great. Went for lunch on Saturday and the ordering line was relatively... short. I'm not a fan of the order first, then find a table approach, but on this instance, it worked out well. Food is good, butkind of inconsistent. The grilled mahi mahi tacos were good, but had a bit more of a fishy taste than I'm used to and a littleover done (dry). I'll definitely be back to try something else. Read more
It was a busy Wednesday night, the wait for food was an hour (they told us upfront). Food was ok, nothing special but the views... were awesome! I think they have huge potential but have resided to serve ok food and mass produce it for the busy summerseason. Read more
Not fresh. Paid $14 for their famous hush puppies that were suppose to be crab and corn and were disgusting. Over cooked and... tasted like it came from a freezer bag. The fries were good. This place is overrated. I would never come again here. Had to wait45 minutes for food that was not good. A good restaurant is one that serves fresh food, not from the freezer. Wonderful service and good views! Loved the special of the day, blackend redfish. Everyone enjoyed a different menu item giving... them between 4-5 stars (popcorn shrimp, crab stuffed flounder, crab patties, fish sticks, shoestring fries, caesar salad, rice).Very clean, everyone works hard sanitizing even outdoors seating areas. My girls and I were craving seafood to end our weekend and this was the cherry on top. Clean, fun, bright, atmosphere with a... view of the beautiful harbor. The food was AMAZING and it came out very quickly. I got the tacos with rice and beans and friedgreen tomatoes (you HAVE to get the shrimp skewer with it). The staff was super sweet and attentive. I should have switched the reviews filter to "newest first" to see what I would be in for tonight when choosing this place. It... took 50 minutes to get our food. A 6 fried shrimp platter (shrimp/fries/coleslaw) and a shrimp po'boy with fries. That's it.That's all we ordered. I was envisioning some decent sized shrimp for that price and based on the size of shrimp from nearbyplaces we've gone to. The shrimp was so small(picture attached-before we ate anything)!! Staff was friendly enough but had verylimited interaction with them as we ate quick and left since it was the end of the night. The fries were seasoned with somethingreally good and there was a good size portion of fries (maybe to make up for how small the main entree was?). The atmosphere wasvery pretty as we sat outside by the water. You order your food up front first and then go seat yourself wherever you can find aspot and they give you a number and bring it out to you. Read more
