Great!!!!!!! Really Great food!!! The oysters were so Fresh! We had the seafood dumping's that were really tasty, oysters and... the softshell crab dish, with great drinks! It was our first time, we came on Sunday, July 3, 2022. We sat at a table in thebar. `Santos our waiter was beyond excellent with food suggestions and the service he provided. My wife and I came here for dinner in a Friday night. The restaurant has great décor and ambience and our server Michael was... amazing; very polite, helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu. My wife ordered the Hendricks Mint Tini to drink and theybrought us some cornbread to start. My wife loved the Mint Tini, said it was very refreshing and light. The cornbread is easilythe best I've had outside of Mississippi. For our appetizers we got the steamed crab and shrimp dumplings and the roastedfingerling potatoes. The dumplings were fantastic, it made me wish we would have ordered more! Great seafood flavor, tenderwrapper, and the ponzu was great. The potatoes were nice and crispy and salty. For our mains, I got the lobster carbonara andmy wife got the scallop special with ramp gnocchi and pickled rhubarb. The scallop special was an absolutely delicious dish; thescallops were huge, tender, and flavorful; the ramp gnocchi had a great wild onion flavor and was perfectly al dente; the saucewas delicious and the pickled rhubarb added great contrast to the dish. The lobster carbonara was good, but it wasn't what I waslooking for; it is a great creamy seafood pasta dish if that is what you want, but it's missing a lot of the traditionalcarbonara flavors that I had been expecting. We capped off our dinner with the bread pudding with apple salted caramel sauceand vanilla gelato which was a great end to our meal; not too sweet, perfect amount of salt, great texture. Only complaint isthat towards the end of our meal the restaurant got rather loud; we had been enjoying the quiet ambience to that point (we wereseated in the more quiet dining room) but at around 7:30 or so there was a rush and it became hard to even think or hearmyself. I've been wanting to try Saltaire for years and I have to say that it was a delicious meal! From the Oysters to the Lobster to... the many sides (Lobster Mac was outrageous) to the Cheesecake, I was thoroughly impressed. Very good Old Fashioned's as well.Really like the ambiance and vibe in there. The split between a bar and a dining room is an excellent call for a restaurant. So far our best dining experience since we arrived in NY. The food was amazingly delicious. Oysters were so fresh and tasty.... Clam pasta was fantastic. The sauce had so much umami from the clams. And the fish tacos were not the typical tacos u find inMexican restaurants or dining. It has its special taste combined with its unique spicy red cabbage with a hint of the red onionson top and sprinkles with a splash of lime...mmm hmmm...Not just the seafood were fantastic, we ordered their pork belly forstarter and it just hit the spot. So soft and tender. The combination with their chargrilled carrots, interesting mustard saucewith pear puree...it just so out of the world tasty. I wanted to Surprise one of my Best Friends for her Birthday! I searched all of CT for live music and great seafood. Saltaire... Oyster Bar in Port Chester, NY came up in the search and the drive was within an hour. The menu looked very impressive and theLive music was the icing on the cake! From the Starters to the Entrées to Drinks and Desserts, we were in heaven! Michaelserved us and he is so knowledgeable with a refreshing sense of humor! He advised us on menu options with an effortless passionthat I admired. It was like a juicy secret he couldn’t wait to share! Live Acoustic by The Amazing Mr. Jones was justSublime! I could listen to him all day long. Love his acoustic style, Soothing yet forceful vocals and his arrangements wereperfectly paired with the delicious Menu! Not to mention he was delighted to fulfill my request to sing Happy Birthday to myBestie! She was Thrilled from beginning to end! We had The Octopus( took me back to Barcelona!) Breaded Oysters ( So wellseasoned with parsley, breadcrumbs and fresh lemon juice), Shrimp Dumplings( tasted great! would have loved a hint of ginger).The Sea Bass was increible!!
