Very thing we had was amazing. The grilled avocado dish was my favorite. Cocktails were on point and a nice variety to choose... from. The main course for us was the fried chicken which was decent, had a good level of spice which was nice but somethingabout the breading left it holding onto a little too much of the frying oil. Still all the same it was delicious so I'm reachingfor critique. Our server was from Oakland and provided friendly service and good explanations to our questions. We ate on theoutdoor patio under the redwood tree but the interior of the restaurant was very interesting and if we had more time hanging outat the bar would have been cool. Definitely recommend this place ???? Read more

We loved the "old" Bull Valley before there was major changes. In fact, it was our favorite restaurant in the Bay Area. So, our... expectations are very high. We worried that the restaurant wouldn't be as good because many of our favorite dishes are no longeron the menu. To be clear, the experience is very different than it was and that was disappointing. The Old menu was more familystyle. I would say overall it isn't as good as it was. But, the food was delicious. And we will definitely go back. Read more

This is a local institution with fun, historic decor and seasonal floral designs. You feel the history as you step through the... door on to the (likely original) wood floors. The renovated back patio is wonderful for warm evenings or sunny Sunday brunches. The service is friendly, informed, and attentive. The cocktail list is inventive and interesting. Plates are intended to befamily style, which makes it a bit easier to order $30 fried chicken (which comes with a breast split in 2 pieces and a thigh, coleslaw, & a couple pickles (ask for extra pickles)) -- which was, admittedly, pretty amazing and which I will definitely orderagain. I could quibble about wanting a slightly bigger menu, but they do what they do and they do it well. Read more

Amazing lunch today! Our table had two kinds of salad, muscles, fries with eyes, chicken wings, house bread, the burger, Mac and... cheese chilaquiles, bacon and rounded it all out with their 3 desserts. We also had the gin and tonic, house Chardonnay and acocktail with presecco, lemon and taragon. Absolutely incredible. It was all delicious and the service was insanely fast andattentive. Parking here can be real awful though. Also pretty pricey but well worth it. Read more
