Gosh darn good chicken strips ? wish I got a pic of em with the awesome dips the guy brought out ? bbq, some awesome... slow-creepin hot sauce, and black pepper + garlic? This place is a hidden gem! We went to the Pontoon by fluke as the restaurant we wanted to check out originally was closed. We... were pleasantly surprised by the quality and the quantity of food Pontoon presented to us. On the outside, this place mightlook like a medicor small-town diner. However, we can reassure you that you will adore this little eatery as much as wedid! We ordered the French legs, which is basically whole chicken legs with the bottom part of the legs deboned and flipped tothe top. Then the legs were breaded and fried. We had the garlic pepper sauce to go with the legs. The crust was super crispy. The meat was juicy, tender, and impeccably seasoned. The garlic pepper sauce was bursting with a great balance of aroma andflavors. The chicken sandwich is a must-try. Sandwiched between aromatic saseme buns, the succulent piece of meat was wrappedin crunchy and flavourful breading of right thickness. Again, Pontoon nailed this dish. We also ordered a salad that was fresh,with a good mix of seasonal greens and refreshing dressing. We are very satisfied with this place. One recommendation wouldbe to forgo the disposables to save the environment. Read more
By far the best food in port Dover if you haven?t tried there food yet I promise you will not be disappointed cost and quality... and love they pit into there food is hard to find not to mention the costumer service is excellent please try the fried chickenand the black pepper garlic sauce I would give a million stars if I could thx guys see you again soon Helen Read more
Had a delicious lunch at the Pontoon Patio Bar in Port Dover. Ordered a selection of the dips, babaganoush, whipped feta,... tapenade, hummus, spinach and artichoke, romensco and French onion dip. The portions were very generous and delicious. We had aveggie basket and tacos and bread to dip with. The restaurant sits above the street and we enjoyed the view as we dined. Theservice was excellent and we are already planning our next trip back there.???????? Read more
