To be honest, fish was a nice taste but really?? 5 pieces and when I say that, I?ve had chicken fingers bigger! So it?s... supposed to be 5oz perch for $24.95! Sooooo over priced! Our dinner came on a small lunch plate! And the salads that came out?.Let?s get out of the 70?s! Service was good! Very pleasant waitress but no way will we be going back. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the food because the host was extremely unaccommodating to us when we wanted to eat at the... garden restaurant. Having our 5 month year old with us we needed shade and we were told we could not open an umbrella and thetable that was in shade was bigger than we needed and was to saved for larger groups, something I would understand if there werenot at least 8 other tables available. Happy to not give my money to such a place that hires such rude people. Read more
Unfortunately this restaurant is very mediocre and extremely expensive. I had the Peach Beach and it was $10 for mostly ice. We... all got the perch and it was very disappointing, it was extremely bland and barely battered and there wasn?t much sauce given.It is not really traditional fried fish and chips. There is barely any batter and you even have to pay extra for a side like thefries? the only thing worth going back for is the celery bread, it was absolutely amazing, but even that was an extra $2 foreach piece haha. Overall, a bill of $80 for 2 ppl who didn?t even get an appetizer is extreme especially when the food islacklustre. Read more
Wow! A co-worker took me here and it?s divine! Perch was lightly battered and paired with mango salsa in two tacos. I chose mash... over the fries - odd combination but mash was delicious even without the extra butter. Ordered a side of the celery bread thatwas light and fluffy. All atop a beautiful rooftop patio. Excellent service! Great food! I like that it wasn't the traditional boring green salad but a coleslaw, ambrosia, cucumber and... mixed bean salads. We shared them amongst each other. Perch was very good, and French fries were good. Very nice restaurant--astand out in a below average beach town. Read more
I have always had the perch dinner and love it. Decided to try pickerel this time. Still good but not at the perch level. Always... go for the dinner. Stick to fish and avoid steak. Celery bread is outstanding and try every salad. Not sure why they put wholegreen onions on the pickle plate. Who eats that? Read more
My parents took me here to the cove room a few weeks ago with my grandmother. My mom and grandma said it looked exactly the same... as when she was a kid coming here and loved stepping back into her childhood. The perch and pickerel where phenomenal and thesalad cart is a such unique and fun dining experience. Staff were phenomenal and the locations clean. Thank you cove room forbeing what you are.
