First time trying China 8 and we will definitely not go back. The Chicken Chop Suey was so salty we couldn't eat it and it had a... strange taste. Beef and broccoli had large clumps of undissolved corn starch or gravy mix through it, a real turn off. Lots ofmeat in the dish though. Fried chicken wings tasted as if they were freezer burned and a fair bit off . . had a strange batterwith turmeric in it. Not enjoyable at all. The eggs rolls contained almost no filling and had a large amount of fluid in them,like I've never experienced with eggs rolls. Overall, it was horrible and ruined our evening. . it was the last day of ourholidays. We hope that we don't get sick after this meal. Go elsewhere, do yourself a favor. Read more
We ended up going twice over the course of a couple of days. Generous portions with lots of meat which my daughter loved. One... combination plate (C7) was shared between us and lasted 2 days. The second visit my daughter had the beef and broccoli and sheloved that as well (she barely made a dent in it so lots of leftovers for today). It's typical American styles Chinese food. Being a good chef from China, I can't compare them to authentic Chinese food. But I... guess the changes were necessary to accommodate western tasks. The portion of the dishes are brutal, one combo can easily feedtwo adults. It's so good to see someone speaking Mandarin in this tiny town! Read more
Updated April 30/2022 Just wanted to update since Ive ordered a lot more over the past couple months. My 5/5 score still stands!... The food is always consistently fresh and tastes wonderful. Thanks China8! Great quality Chinese food! With only 1 Chineserestaurant in Port elgin it's nice to have another option. I ordered orange chicken, beef with broccoli, veg Lo mein, and springrolls - plus they gave me a free item for paying cash over $35!!! Nice deal. Everything had a lot of flavor and tasted fresh.Their chicken isn't overly battered and the orange sauce tasted amazing. It was opening day when I ordered so it took some timeto pickup my meal, ~20 min, but the staff were very nice. I will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu, Im veryinterested in trying their Thai curry next. Thanks China 8! :) Read more

We ordered chicken fried rice, Veg Lomien, orange chicken and General Tso Chicken. All dishes were sumptuous, reasonably priced... and good quantity. We will definitely order again. Even though they were extremely busy, being their inaugural grand openingday, the wait time was only 10 minutes. Can't wait to try more dishes. ???????????????????? Read more
Ordered many dishes tonight for the first time. Spring rolls, chicken chop suey, and hot & sour soup we?re fine. General Tso... chicken had a sauce I?ve never had with this dish. It was not great. The beef and broccoli was also just OK, and the Cantonesechow mein again had a different sauce than I?ve had before. I used to order from Tang?s which was much better.
