This was a fantastic dining choice! Our family was camping locally, and chose to eat here for our "dinner out" that week. My... husband and I had the haddock meal with coleslaw, and the fish was incredible. The batter was delicious and fried perfectly ? nomushy parts and not too much batter. My one child had a grilled cheese and fries, and the other had chicken strips. Bothenjoyed their food. We even splurged for raspberry pie for dessert. Next time I would ask to have it heated, but that's apersonal preference. We had such good food, I didn't even remember to photograph what we ate. Read more

Sadly this port town on Lake Huron restaurant serves frozen fish only from afar, not anything locally sourced. Nothing and I... mean nothing beats fresh fish and chips and this isn?t it. We had the frozen halibut. It was okay as far as halibut goes but youget the same quality in any other fish and chips place that serves frozen fish. That could be in London, Windsor, Kitchener,etc. Very pricey!!! Wow! Also we noticed this place is for sale. Good points however do exist: it?s clean and has friendlystaff. Picnic tables out front exist because of previous Covid measures and these picnic tables have nice rounded corners. Wewaited a long time . There was only one other table of customers present. We were a large family group our waitress was wonderful and very patient with us as we decided what to order, everyone was very... happy with their food the kids especially gobbled everything up. I had their shrimp and fries which were delicious. And thehaddock and fries were a big hit. Read more
The waiter (Greg) was the best waiter I ever had. He was always on top of things and made sure we got what we needed really... quick. He was also super friendly and funny. I've ordered here a few times and this, hands down, has to be one of the best fish N chips I've ever tasted. They even let you... buy the fish frozen and when you reheat it, it tastes exactly as when you order them fresh. The popcorn shrimp is also afavourite. I'm kinda on the fence with the fries as they're not seasoned but I'm kinda ok with this, I end up seasoning themmyself. The coleslaw has a ton of flavor and very fresh, the homemade tarter sauce tastes fantastic, and I like that theyinclude lemon wedges as well. Thanks Lord Elgin! I'll definitely be back. Read more
My friend and I ordered Popcorn Shrimps and Halibut Fish & Chips for dinner. The food was very good - The batter was very... crunchy. And the popcorn shrimps and fish & chips were fried perfectly! It was one of the best fish and chips dinner we everhad. The restaurant has quite a few picnic tables in the parking lot for customers to enjoy the food and nice weather. We willdefinitely go back the next time we visit Port Elgin! Read more
Pretty good fish and chips along with other dishes. Probably the best in Port Elgin for that. Service is usually fast... considering it is a sit-down restaurant. Location is nice and it does not get too busy, however the take-home option could bebetter. Read more
