Spent a couple days in Port Elgin and had their cheesesteak sandwich but as I have an allergy they accommodated and let me have... goat cheese instead of Swiss and it was the best sandwich I've ever had, I was sad they didn't give me the dill slaw as thatsounded delicious and I would've loved to try.... Lived in Port Elgin over twenty years ago and went to this location. The place hasn?t changed much but the food sure has. I... was just in Chicago recently and had a deep dish pizza and I had it tonight and was so surprised as this was better than the oneI had in Chicago. There was tons of cheese on the pizza. Drove through Port Elgin and decided to stop here for first time. Busy place. Some time to order. Fried goat cheese on salad... was awesome with nice raspberry dressing. Steak was cooked well and had really good flavour. Their version of a Philly wastasty, almost like an Italian Beef, even though the bun was mismatched which didn't affect how great it was. Went for a late lunch after a 3 hour drive to get to this region. Great food. Good portions at reasonable prices. The staff are... really friendly and helpful. I had their hand made Great Canadian burger. They grind their meat fresh daily with real butter. Mywife had the Southwestern chicken wrap (got two meals out of that). They have pool tables and a huge tent covered patio outback. Definitely going back. Read more
We stopped by the Queen's tonight. Nice old place with lots character. Very busy. Deep dish pizza? Sure, we're game. Been... to Chicago and Detroit so I'm an expert. Wow! Rich buttery crust. Mozzarella fused to edges. Nice simple sauce doesn't maskingredients. Mushrooms, onions, sausage and gorgonzola! Excellent. Port Elgin Deep Dish should be a thing. My friend had aburger. Usually the food from here is decent with the deep dish pizza being very good. However this time there were multiple long hairs... baked into the pizza crust. Disgusting to say the least. I will not be going back. Read more

We eat here often on our way home and are never disappointed! Tonight we tried the special sandwich. The roast beef was tasty... and moist.
