Visited Port Hope and had their fish and chips for lunch while the boyfriend had a burger. The burger was huge and did not... disappoint! Later in the evening, he proposed! We decided to celebrate by going back around 9pm and had the fish tacos, chickenparm, and chicken tenders. All delicious, and would definitely say it's worth it for the prices! Read more
Great atmosphere on the patio. Ample space between tables so you do not feel crowded. The brussel sprout appetizers were... delicious and amount served was definitely large enough to be shared between 2-3 people. I will definitely return. Read more
My brother and I were in the area and needed to charge his car. We found this lively, and lovely pub on the main street of Port... Hope and wanted a lovely patio to dine at. It was very charming and at the perfect umbrella covered corner table on the patio.We had wings to start they were average I had the BLTon sourdough bread really tasty with a chipotle mayo, my bro had the phillycheese steak it was so good oozing with yummy cheese he truly enjoyed it. Very nice pub with very large portions. The fish tacos were delicious but my husband couldn't finish them. I had the Beamish... club sandwich which was also very good. Great fries. Read more
Lovely place and even lovelier staff. The food was tasty and the patio was fantastic.
It was our first time in Port Hope and heard that Beamish House had a great patio for lunch. Before I talk about anything else... I have to give a huge shoutout to our server and I'm very sorry I didn't get her name. She was rushing all over but was in agreat mood, cracking jokes and making everyone feel welcome. We had the Beamish and Blue Cheese burgers. Both were deliciousand would definitely go back and order them again. The one disappointment was that they were out of fish so couldn't try theirfish n chips. Tasty burgers, nice patio, cold beer, and super friendly service makes Beamish House Pub a must visit. Today was my 6th anniversary and because of Covid most of my plans went to pot. However I was going to be in Port Hope today so... I emailed the bar and asked about making a reservation. When we arrived we had to sign in and as soon as we were done thehostess greeted us and right away the professionalism was apparent. Our server was Laurel and this amazing lady was so sweetand hard working. During the order process I messed up and did not explain my dietary needs and she quickly fixed the problemat no cost to me. Most servers seem to wait until you have a mouthful before checking with you, but not Laurel. Her timing wasbang on and only approached when I was taking a drink. My wife ordered the steak and I ordered the chicken Parm. The firstbite and I was hooked. It was delicious. The steak was well done but that is how my wife wanted it. The drinks kept comingand the tiny table was always cleared on time. The soft music playing was an eclectic blend of smooth jazz and classic softrock. The people on the terrace were spaced out well so that we did social distance but still could not hear each other. Theatmosphere was relaxing and it only took an hour for the dinner to be served. This is the best restaurant experience I have hadin all of Port Hope. The staff are amazing and for sure we will be going back. My new favourite place in town. Read more
Used to love the beamish. The food had never been great but I liked the atmosphere and actually enjoyed eating there with my... family once in a while. But they jacked up the price way over inflation level. Really? If I am going to pay theses prices I llgo to a restaurant which offers real culinary experience.
