My meal was good...but i substituted for lattice fries and paid the extra as did someone else in our group but they were... absolutely cold when the meal arrived. I thought the service was slow.....it took quite a while for our appetizers toarrive....perhaps if it would have come out earlier we wouldn't have thought service was slow. We had to ask about dessert andcoffee. It was never offered and one of the menus we were offered had coffee (I think) dripping all over it. There were a lot offlies which was annoying but I suppose that's because the doors to the patio were constantly being opened and closed. Read more
Had a great experience today. I called ahead to see if they could accommodate a group of 9 and was able to pre-order our groups'... meals for quicker service. Sarah was our server and was wonderful and provided excellent service. Really enjoyed my meal. Thanksagain! Read more
Food was good except for the Cole Slaw. Didn?t like it at all. Loads of ribs on the 1/2rack & the wings were meaty. Reasonably... priced too. Staff were cheerful & friendly. Wish I?d worn a sweater though as it was chilly. We?ll definitely go back. Read more
We saw the waitress twice. First when she took our order and then when she brought our food. No coming back to see how... everything was. I had ordered the Sea Food Meal which was to contain shrimp, mussels, calamari and scallops. I had one scallopand no shrimp. When I was finally able to track down our server, I told her what happened with my meal. She said ?Sorry aboutthat? as she passed by me. No compensation offer or anything. Went to Castle Johns Port Hope for the first time Wednesday April 20/22. It was our first time there. I would have given 5... stars but we found the chairs totally uncomfortable. Our waitress was very accommodating and got us into a booth as soon as onewas available. The food was outstanding. I had the lasagna which the menu said was home made and it really was. The serving sizewas large enough to have a nice meal and bring home some for another dinner. My friend ordered the lobster stuffed ravioli. AndSURPRISE it was with real lobster. The cream sauce as well had chunks of lobster. It takes a lot to impress a chef but he wasimpressed. Will we go back. You bet we will and it could be a regular.
