Yesterday my husband and I had lunch at PJ Lobster House for the first time and we had an excellent experience! The restaurant... is beautiful, and the menu is full of excellent options! The service was very attentive and fast, and the food was excellent! My husband had a very tasty cheeseburger with pickles and a good portion of crispy fries! I don’t remember the price, but wassomething very regular. I had a combo with large, juicy, flavorful Lobster, with 12 large shrimps, a Lobster Bisque, steamedveggies, and fresh salad: all for $55!!!! I have leftover for my lunch and dinner today. It was definitely the most deliciousand big meal I've seen in recent times, even in much more expensive restaurants! I recommend that you treat yourself to a visitto this gem of Port Jefferson! Lobster bisque and clam chowder were great! We just grabbed a spot at the bar for these quick bites and really wish we could... have stayed longer to enjoy the rest of the menu and drinks. Read more

My boyfriend and I came here for our weekly date night. We wanted to try something new and it did not disappoint. The lobster... bisque and baked clams were delicious. We then had the Shrimp and Scallop Alfredo and the Swordfish Taco- dillas and they wereboth FANTASTIC! Ended with the Triple Chocolate Cookie Skillet with was the perfect ending. Overall 10/10 and one of the bestrestaurants we have been to in a long time. Great job and keep it up! Read more

So good! We came for lunch and had the prickly pear margaritas, which we added jalapeño to, and they were amazing. Not too... sweet and very fresh tasting. Mom had the watermelon slammer and it was very natural fresh squeezed juice. The cocktails were a10/10 for sure. We then had 6 oysters on the half shell, which were a good value all things considered. Pretty big anddelicious. Then we had a cold lobster roll and hot lobster roll, with waffle and regular fries. The bread for the lobster rollsare amazing, and soooo much delicious lobster. The fries were crispy and flavorful. I’m not huge on cole slaw and even thatwas great. We loved everything we ordered here and will definitely be back! Bonus: we had my chocolate lab with us and we wereable to sit on the patio with him. Read more

The atmosphere and decor were incredible . The food and drinks are mediocre. The fries were on a plate with wet food sauce. I... see this restaurant being an upscale restaurant if the dishes are sparked up and plating the food is rearranged. My surf andturf would have been better with a choice of ribeye or filet mignon. The drinks were a 4.5 out of 10. I really don't see myselfcoming back by choice or recommending family or friends. Overall the experience was simple and not stunning. Read more

Visited PJ Lobster House for Friday night dinner. It was a busy night so a bit of a wait was expected. We had a decent wait,... even after being seated, but nothing unreasonable. Our appetizer came out about 10 minutes apart but this was not a major issuefor us. My girlfriend and I shared a Seafood appetizer sampler as the appetizer. The crab cake and baked clams were good butthe calamari was small and cold. The clam strips were overly bready and ended up frying into a couple big clumps. The Cast IronCombo is listed as a a favorite so I figured I'd give it a try. The Cajun seasoning had a great overall flavor. I would say theshrimp and scallops were smaller than they should be at this price point. The swordfish in both preparation and flavor was theweakest part of the offering. Seasoned vegetable sides were exactly as you'd expect and the pasta with clam sauce was a decentaddition with a fair amount of clams added on top. Overall, I'd say the experience was decent but definitely nothing special. Read more

Perfect lunch. Haven’t been feeling well enough to be out, but I had enough energy to pick up food from PJ Lobster today. Ken... from Benten Sushi (closed now) is working there now, so if you recognize these rolls, that’s why. I made my own (mediocre)miso to eat with it, and tried to set my table up nice, for a restaurant feeling at home. Ken’s is still the best sushi on theisland as far as I know. Add that to the fact that PJ Lobster already serves a vast array of local favorites, with a newinterior that looks beautiful and inviting, and you’ve got a winner. The new location down port is easy to find once yourealize you can park in the back by Old Field, Ruvo, tennis courts, etc. I may have to scope out some other alternatives forparking before summer hits because I will be back!
