If I could give more stars I would. It's a shop and cafe by day but in a Friday night it turns into a pub with food and... entertainment. The ice cream is to die for especially after an eight mile walk to Long Cove. Friday nights are fantastic, goodfood and a local band playing all the classic hits. This is an amazing little restaurant. They have dinner and live music in the summer from Thursday to saturday. The restaurant... is small and very hot in the summer but the food is very well prepared. They were extremely busy the night I took friends andwe waiting dor over 2 1/2 hours for dinner. They loved the food but not the wait. I felt bad for the management but what canyou do. This is a hidden gem and everyone should go and try it. Read more
Simply put, this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. To start, the service was exceptional. Our... server was genuinely warm and friendly, despite the blistering summer heat. Everything that our table ordered, from the chowderto the hot roast beef sandwich, was absolutely delicious. This place is amazing! If you don't visit, you will certainly be missing out on one of the best and most hospitable places on... the Southshore. The friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff add to the wonderful atmosphere and delicious food that isavailable whether it is for daily lunch from 11-2:30, pub night, every Friday from 6-10 pm with a different band and menufeatured each week, or the scrumptious Sunday brunch served from 10-2. Oh, did I happen to mention the local artisans?! So manytalented people that selecting just one item to purchase can be difficult. Always something new at the Port Grocer,year-round!!
