My boyfriend and I decided to take the scenic route home from St Augustine and we stumbled into First Turn. We had to make sure... it was dog friendly, as our pup was traveling with us. They were SUPER accommodating for him - she even gave him a dish ofwater, which he was so grateful for. The food was amazing - I got the pulled pork sandwich and my boyfriend got the fishsandwich and both were absolutely delicious. Such a cool place, highly recommend. Read more
Usually this place is good but today 7/15/2022 we sat down at 8:30 pm back of restaurant, we are leaving now at 10:00 pm and... not once did a waitress come to our table or talk to us . I had to keep getting up go to bar to get drinks. We were gonna eatbut oh well. Three were 3 other tables in our section that got drinks and food and she just ignored the 3 of us. My father inlaw even tried to get her attention she walked right by. Unbelievable , lost good customers that came at least once a week. Oursupposed waitress had long curly brown hair and tattoo sleeve. Just in case First turn would like to know why us and our groupsof friends will not be back. Read more
Out of jalapeños. Out of ham. Really? Publix run. Overheard out of Ketel One. Again, run to the store. Bottomless mimosas... served in small plastic cups. Brunch served on paper plates with one plastic fork. First time ever eating grits with a fork.Condiments on request. I?m at a restaurant, not a family reunion. Now this is the place to be. It has an inside outside feel. The day we went it was raining we loved the sound of the rain but we... were dry feeling like we were outside while the band was playing. So awesome. Also the food was great my burger rocked. One ofthe guys in the band I think his name is Mike with playing Johnny Cash. Lots of cool different styles of music though. Read more
We did a Jeep Meet & Greet here Sunday, for our Pay It Forward Pails to help Homeless Veterans. Lance was our waiter and was... spot on with an outgoing personality to go with it. The owner came out & introduced his self and what a great man. He loves whathis customers think and is totally on board making sure your visit was successful. This place and the new owner definitely isputting Life back into Daytona's Original First Turn & Daytona's Steakhouse & Wine Bar. You won't regret a visit whether your alocal or tourist. Been enjoying this establishment for over 30 years, mostly with family. Always the best!!! I must say that whether it was the... manager or I'm guessing, the owner, I have never been so rudely treated. Spent 75 on a couple beers and food with my mum and theguy turns a huge spotlight on our table; blinding us. Then became verbally and extremely rude about it. Could have apologized,warned us or politely asked if we would like to move tables but was so arrogant and inconsiderate. Which maybe why the place isa shell of its former. Wings dry, fish bites are tenders cut in half. Never another dollar. So sad! Read more
