Where else can you get a crisp beef burrito AND pay like $6 for one? Always been a favorite restaurant, but they are (and always... have been) a bit expensive. And before you say "EvErYtHiNg Is ExPeNsIvE nOWaDaYs", Taco Time has always been expensive... like,you can literally go to Puerto Vallarta (if I hadn't burned down, womp womp) and pay the same for fancy-pants Mexican food thanyou would at Taco Time. This is a pretty good Taco Time NW. The staff are always very friendly, the line never takes too long, and the food is fresh and... delicious. I think Taco Time NW nicely bridges the gap between fast food and a traditional restaurant. Taco Time NW is a localcompany that gives back to Western Washington, plus I can get a taco from there without the almost immediate regret I experiencewhen I dine at other fast food restaurants. I usually enjoy coming here, but the last few times have been subpar. Especially for the price. A few examples: the wait time is... insanely long. Usually 20mins from order to money exchange. I ordered a soft taco and got a giant burrito filled only withlukewarm meat and cheese. That was all. The "mexi fries" have been soggy and almost cold, the salsa has been warm, I havent hadice in my drink the last three times I've gone, and if you look into the window when paying, the workstations/floor are dirtyand gross and people are not swapping their gloves when they should be and not washing their hands. For sanitary reasons, I dontthink I'll be going back. I would have gone in to get things fixed but with the insane line times, I have to race back to workto avoid being late. Read more
Normally I would rateTaco Time much higher since it is a weekly staple with us, but on this visit my drive thru order was a... train wreck. Both my soft natural tacos were "bean" and not "meat", and that was after I was asked by the employee taking myorder to clarify. The mexi fries we mushy, not crispy like normal, and both crispy meat burritos fell apart as soon as I tookthem out of the sleeves. Your remodel should have included a new ordering speaker system. Seems they have trouble hearing overcar engines and outdoor ambient noises. Sorry to say my $26 would have been better spent elsewhere. Read more
